"The hotel was okay. The room was nice. The bathroom shower needed some work. They need to redo the showers not only in the room we had but also our friend's room as well. Check in and check out was easy no problems. The breakfast was subpar. They could really work on that, powdered eggs are not good at all."

The only downfall at this particular time is that the pool area was not available due to ongoing renovations which was okay because the atmosphere of the room was very relaxing. "We had an amazing time at the Black Warrior Retreat! The property is gorgeous! It was quiet and peaceful. The cabin is beautifully decorated in a modern, minimalist style. It is stunning! We slept comfortably in the beds and enjoyed the soaking tub! We made home cooked meals in the kitchen that was stocked with beautiful cookware and dinnerware! A quick 15 minute drive to campus was no problem at all! Can’t wait to go back to this property!"
