The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel itself was well maintained, our room ceiling needed some attention due to what looked like stains left from water damage. Breakfast was a disappointment choice was limited (no continental options) our food was served on cold plates, poached eggs were hard, full English breakfast was dry looking.

It is a beautiful old building where Abode has successfully kept many original features of the old textile factory and integrated them into a bright modern hotel , tastefully and thoughtfully designed.Staff helpful and friendly, food very good as was service.

Husband and I booked breakfast and said we would take it at 10.30. Arrived about 10.35. We had been told breakfast was until 11am and that was fine. The greeter looked at us no smile or good morning looked at his watch which made us feel uncomfortable for arriving when we did. I said that we had a booking he said we didnt. I said that we paid for breakfast on arrival and had been told it was ok to have breakfast at the time we selected. I had to ask if it was ok to stay and eat even thkigh we had paid £36. He eventually found our booking but it was very uncomfortable no apology and had breakfast knowing that we had to rush and wanted to get out quick. We are staying in a months time and don't feel comfortable having breakfast due to how we were made to feel and no have to look for somewhere else to book. We cant cancel the room as would the money. All other staff we encountered where amazing and we had an amazing welcome too. Room was great and we had enjoyed the stay until the morning.
