「Beautiful hotel, lovely room, and gorgeous setting right above the beach. The menu choices were limited, but both my dinners were delicious, as was my breakfast omelette. No hot water for the showers, but as it was so hot, that wasn’t a big deal. Special shoutout to Yolanda…she was wonderfully accommodating in everything I needed. Will stay here again.」

「I spent a week at Surfasana Lodge. It is a unique property on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Surfasana Lodge is very peaceful surrounded by nature. Mauricio is a chill guy that can answer all your questions about Santa Catalina in general or surfing in particular. He is very interesting to talk with. I thoroughly enjoyed my week at Surfasana. 「Dit hotel heeft 1 absoluut pluspunt…. Locatie!!!
Direct aan het surfstrand gelegen van Santa Catalina. Je loopt de trap af en je bent op het strand. Op dit strand kunnen (beginnend) surfers zich perfect uitleven.
Klein stukje rijden richting het andere deel van Santa Catalina waar je de trips naar Coiba eiland kan doen (aanrader).
Hotel zelf is gedateerd. Kamers hebben echt wat aandacht nodig. Net als de openbare delen van het hotel. Het is oud en heeft achterstallig onderhoud.

「La propiedad estaba muy caliente y el aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien! La puerta trasera no cerraba bien y se podía abrir fácilmente aunque tuviera la cerradura puesta! La parte del piso superior tenía todo el suelo de concreto agrietado! Los números que tenía para contactar no funcionaban! Tuve que buscar otro sitio de hospedaje y ni siquiera contestaba el correo electrónico! No me devolvieron mi dinero! Que vergüenza hacer propaganda con semejante porquería 」
