Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. "Der Weg zum Haus ist super vom Vermieter beschrieben und sehr abenteuerlich. Das Haus steht in absoluter Alleinlage am Waldrand und direkt vor dem Haus beginnen die Weinfelder. Traumhaft schön. Die kleine Auffahrt direkt zum Haus (ca. 50m) ist sehr steil. Vom Parkplatz vor dem Haus geht es ca. 50 Stufen durch den Garten zum Gebäude. Das Außengelände und der Garten könnten etwas mehr liebe vertragen. Oben gibt es eine wunderschöne überdachte Terrasse mit einem großartigen Blick auf Offenburg....

This was my first experience with a self-service place and I didn’t read the instructions completely. Complicated by a bit of a language barrier. Otherwise, everything was perfect."

"Welcoming and friendly place in central Buehl 6 minute walk from the station. A cracking hotel with very friendly and kind staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The room was small but perfectly clean and functional. A lovely waterside bar to enjoy a perfect pint of beer. The breakfast was well presented and had a lovely selection served by kind and smiling host. I really enjoyed my stay here and the area is wonderful."
