Staff were lovely, polite and really accommodating. I saw a few bad reviews complaining about the noise, but it is on a main road so it is to be expected and in all honesty, the noise isn't as bad as you'd think.
The rooms were clean and cosy, can't fault a bit of Netflix on a smart TV.. Lovely stuff.The bathrooms were spotless, and I'm fussy about them.

「Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. 「Just a one night stay for us as we were attending a wedding. Really lovely stay, staff all friendly, room was beautiful however it didn’t smell great but otherwise lovely and clean, view lovely and breakfast was lovely I felt terrible for leaving it because it was so delish!」
「Very simple room accommodations but met our needs for sleeping while using rooms within the restaurant/bar complex as base to travel to Welsh National Eisteddfod in Wrexham for three nights. Not convenient to pick up bus or not many taxi's on the road. Bar staff helpful. 」
