"Stayed here on a visit to Wigtown in late August 2026. Communication was great with multiple emails confirming reservation and instructions. Although there are no staff of duty the instructions on how to get the key were timely and detailed and we had no problems at all getting in and checking out, and we arrived late. "This is an old property in need of external upgrade and maintenance. Not like the photos. Great location and lovely Seaview. Easy walk down to Harbour and town. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Room was very hot in evening. Windows open and fan on. Bathroom needs a good bleach clean. Breakfast room has a nice view, selection of foods poor. Fruit disgusting. Hot food ok. Nothing cooked to order. Pastries burnt. Not good value for money."
