What can I say about this place.. I love staying here, it's nestled away in Bollington and ideal for a quiet getaway. The rooms are lovely, food is great and the staff are second to none
Had a very pleasant stay.
Food was delicious with a good selection for vegetarians of which I am one!Room very clean and comfortable.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Would stay there again.
For the price, it is an excellent hotel stay. Staff polite and very helpful.
The only con would be, in the heatwave we are having, having A/C or at least room fans would have been helpful.
Otherwise, excellent stay.
The dining room and celebration areas are good but the rooms certainly need to be refreshed. The only good things were that the bed was big and comfortable with selection of pillows, the towels were decent and it was clean. There's no phone in the room, I had to ask for hangers, water and a non-slip mat for the bath. The bathroom door scraped the floor each time uou opened or closed it. The window frames were grotty and there were black mould marks and flaking ceiling paper over the shower. Wouldn't stay there again.
Place was convenient for our adventures in the area. The Peak District

For what we paid the hotel was value for money.
The staff were lovely and helpful (reason for 4 stars).
The breakfast was good.
The gardens and views from the hotel were lovely however there was not much within walking distance (apart from canal) .
Didn't feel the evening meal was value for money, particularly the butterfly chicken burger which was advertised on the menu as butterfly chicken with cheese, fries and rocket salad. In my opinion the cheese tasted like a cheese sauce out of a bottle and was cold and the salad consisted of a few leaves inside the burger.
Hotel was nice, and the lobby, bar and restaurant areas and the bedrooms were nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good for dogs. Drinks prices at the bar are very steep, £48 for one bottle and one glass of house wine. Would stay again, but probably go into the town to eat and drink next time.
A decent hotel - clean rooms and bar area… very good value and would stay again

The building was nice but the room had a dirty bath, not dusted room and the seal had gone on the shower so water flooded everywhere. The restaurant had an issue so it was 2 3/4 hours before our food was served. We literally could have driven home and had tea and come back within that time. But our bed was comfy.
The hotel comprises a lovely old main house, to which a large block of more functional 70s/80s rooms are attached. The room was clean and well equipped, although a little dated. The staff were friendly and welcoming although we did have to wait a bit for someone to appear when we checked in around 7pm. Breakfast was very good, with food cooked to order and presented well. A great location for the village, canal and access for great walking in the hills. Would stay again and recommend.

Had a warm welcome and very good service from the staff. Hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and although would benefit from a refurbishment room and beds were very comfortable.

The hotel is full of character. The staff are pleasant and the bar and restaurant area is lovely. Breakfast is lovely and fully. The restaurant is nice and the food offered is really good. The rooms are good. The bathroom could do with additional shelving space, the shower is powerful but the shower knob can be difficult to turn and grip.

Clean room and courteous staff; however, the hotel decor and the rooms are looking somewhat tired, whilst the breakfast options were quite limited. Overall, this is a comfortable place to stay, in a beautiful setting.
Clean beautiful room, gorgeous decor throughout hotel. Like a fairytale! Friendly staff. A bit slow on service because there didn’t seem to be many employees.
Lovely stay at Hollins Hotel overlooking the Peak District. Our room was very spacious and opulent! The staff were extremely welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was clean and decorated beautifully for Christmas and the food good. Will definitely stay again.
