Great find! Rooms were clean, pool was well kept. Property is beautiful and very easy to get to.There is a restaurant onsite which is very convenient. I’m not a golf enthusiast lol BUT everyone else looked they were having a great time! Will definitely stay here again

Rooms were clean, dated but clean. Location is excellent, and if golfing is our thing, golf course looked beautiful. Very conveniently located in an area with different things to do.

I had a wonderful stay at Shenvalee Golf Resort. The room was comfortable, and the beds were excellent. The bathroom was impeccable and everything was well maintained. The breakfast was another highlight, with healthy choices fantastic taste, and great coffee. The pool made a big difference during the hot weather and the perfect place to relax. I did have a small issue with the tv remote, but the staff responded immediately and took care of it. Which I really appreciated. Their prompt and helpful service made a great impression. Overall, everything comes together for a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable weekend. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this resort.

Room was smaller than expected but very clean! A few extra electrical outlets would have been nice. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. I would stay there again.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable enough, and the water for showers was hot. We are not golfers so we could not evaluate that part of our stay. It was hard to find our room because it was in a very weird location and the girl didn’t really explain to us how to find it. The mountain and golf course view was very pretty.

This is a great little golf resort. Beautiful grounds, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The courses are lovely and well-maintained. Excellent sunset views from the poolside room patio. The pool is large and has plenty of room to lounge with chaises, chairs, umbrellas and tables. The Miller Grill has good food. The location is in the gorgeous Shenandoah region, the town is small and quaint and has several cafes and a general store. Recommendations: a dedicated parking spot for each room, in front of the room. A coin or card-operated laundry machine and dryer on the premises. Vending machines for after-hours sodas and snacks. A sign for quiet hours until 8am for poolside rooms (I don’t expect the the rooms adjacent to the course to be quiet, but for the set by the pool, morning chill would be appreciated.)

Inaccurate advertisement. This is a MOTEL, locks were installed poorly, window did not latch. Broken furniture. Overall clean inside and staff was nice, but staircases up to 2nd level/walkways smelled of smoke and moisture. If we were looking to stay in a motel, our expectations would have been set different. Again, not terrible, but advertisement just not fully transparent. Staff was very kind, however.

This golf resort is a genuine piece of disappearing Americana. If you were born in the mid-century, or even the 80s The Shenvalee will fill your nostalgic longings. The rooms are mostly motel-style where you drive up and park in front. You can choose Mountain (golf course) or Pool view. Disclaimer: I am not a golfer but have family and friends who golf. I drove by here once while traveling and decided to check it out. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are basic but clean, and the large pool is centrally located. The hotel staff was helpful. The Miller Grill has good food. The town of New Market has several restaurants and a quaint General Store. The town of Timberville is nearby if you need grocery or pharmacy. I imagine this area is even more lovely in the Fall when the foliage is at peak.

They had a charger for our car, free of charge. That in and of itself was worth 30 bucks. The nice lady at the desk was wonderful, sorry I didn't get her name. The room was clean, not the most updated but that's okay. The golf course looked beautiful and I would love to have played but couldn't fit it in. The restaurant was very nice as was the staff and the food. For 90 bucks it was a great deal.

My husband and I stay here every year because I participate in the Luray SwimFest at Lake Arrowhead. Although we don't golf, the course and facilities always seem to be well-used, and guests appear to really enjoy them. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the hotel staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We've also enjoyed dining at the restaurant on the property, as well as walking to Southern Kitchen, which is just a short stroll away. Both offer excellent food, great service, and friendly staff. Our annual stay is always enjoyable, and we look forward to coming back each year.

One extremely helpful staff member, 2 others not so much. Clean room. Nice pool. 11 am checkout but would not allow late check out at all. Walked the beautiful golf course in the evening which was great. Better deal going through Expedia than direct(?). Mower started right outside our door at 7 or 8am
