We loved the hotel and the area. The staff are so friendly. We had lots of Amazon packages delivered and they kindly kept them all during the weeks leading up to our arrival and all were placed in our room for no charge. They have nice breakfast and good coffee. Unfortunately no bar or alcohol served, even in the minibar. Would definitely recommend. Large rooms and very comfortable beds.

Assorted carpets and upholstery showed signs of wear and tear. Overall, though, very comfortable and clean. Pillows were lumpy but bed, with a stylish fabric headboard, was blissful. Bathroom was spotless; great shower head. Water is precious in L.A., I know, but windows needed washing! Delicious morning coffee in the lobby. Super friendly staff. So a mixed bag of tricks. I would stay again but would hope for some more refurbishing.

What a beautiful gem a few blocks from the Promenade and the beach. The setting is fantastic and the room with lots of old charm. The room had a little eat-in kitchen, a large closet with make-up area and a large room. Many opportunities missed to make it elite with plastic covering over vintage penny tiles coming up, shower fixtures rusted, some other funky touches. But it didn't diminish the overall feel of this beautiful building.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We were able to stay in one of the penthouse suites, and it has such an amazing charm to it. All the staff members were incredibly helpful! The hotel is also situated in a very peaceful part of Santa Monica, and we had no trouble ubering to/from different places in LA. It’s a very beautiful property.

Great stay at Maison Twenty Seven. The photos do not do this hotel justice. Very quaint and well-maintained building with rooms and common areas filled with character and attention to detail. Quiet yet central - friendly and helpful staff. Has a lovely lobby if you need to do some quiet work.

Beautiful property and friendly staff! It does have a resort fee that they add at the stay that we didn't feel was worth it, but would still stay again. Expedia offered wonderful prices when booking this boutique hotel. Would recommend!

This hotel was perfect for a stay near Santa Monica. It is a classy old hotel with a wonderfully decorated lobby and gardens. The property is within walking distance from a lot of great stuff and dining. The staff was attentive and helpful. The valet parking was quick. Our room was fantastic and comfortable for hanging out.
