UK couple with 30 year old daughter

Ignore the old reviews on this hotel. My daughter was very worried about it after reading some reviews.We had 2 rooms in the new block above the Breakfast area, they were roomy, very modern and super clean. Went into Groningen on the train 100 metres from the hotel, again very good service and super local train. Parked on the street opposite hotel, no problems as this is a very small, quiet and safe German village. We all loved it.

Zeer tevreden!

Ondanks het korte verblijf, kunnen wij alleen maar positief zijn over het hotel. Ligging is perfect vlak bij een station. Wij waren te vroeg, toch was de kamer al beschikbaar. En het ontbijt was ook helemaal goed. Netjes en schoon hotel.

Wir haben dort nicht gefrühstückt, weil wir den Preis für völlig überteuert hielten. Leider haben wir eine leere Minibar vorgefunden und Löcher im Bettlaken. Die Rezeption war morgens zum aus checken nicht besetzt, nur ein Briefkasten um die Schlüssekarte einzuwenden. Sehr schade für den Übernachtungspreis. Aber für die eine Nacht war es in Ordnung, für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir das Hotel nicht buchen. Sehr schade!

De accommodatie is door een recente verbouwing in top conditie, het vriendelijke personeel is alleen niet goed ingewerkt en loopt mijlen ver achter de feiten aan waardoor je overal op moet wachten, verkeerde bestellingen krijgt en dat is zwaar onder de maat. Eten ziet er netjes opgemaakt uit maar smaakt naar niets, kamer werd niet opgemaakt, allemaal omdat er via enjoy hotels grote groepen tegelijk arriveren waardoor het personeel het niet aan kan en reguliere hotelgasten op de 2e plaats komen. Als ik dit geweten had, was ik niet gekomen, want de huidige dienstregeling is het geld niet waard.

Wat was er goed? Het bed , de badkamer en de omgeving. Wat was er minder goed? Voor minder validen heel erg slecht. Mijn mindervalide vriend moest een steile trap op. Tegen betaling van € 50 voor 2 dagen was er een andere kamer. Het hotel is een doolhof en heel onvriendelijk voor minder validen. Een ontbijt voor € 17.50 per persoon was voor mij te absurd voor woorden. Bij Van der Valk is het beter voor minder geld. Onder het bed is het al jaren niet schoongemaakt. Op het koelkastje heb ik geschreven hoe smerig het was. Voor dit hotel is 2 sterren nog teveel voor de prijzen die ze vragen. Bij het uitchecken was de receptie gesloten. Ik had een bevestiging voor € 201,00 maar ik kreeg een rekening voor € 250. "Oh sorry". Geen enkele aanbeveling.

Ständige Probleme mit dem Zimmerschlüssel und oftmals nicht verfügbares Personal, da Rezeption erst ab 10 uhr besetzt ist. Sehr sauber, jedoch kein Room- service. Bettenmachen und Bad säubern selbstständig. Das finde ich doof, da der Übernachtungspreis ja nicht niedrig war. Selbst bei Abreise war niemand da, außer den Reinigungsdamen und der Küchenfrau. Nö, das gefiel mir nicht. Mehr Führsorge wäre schon angenehm. Dann kann ich auch ein Ferienhaus mieten.

Tolles modernes Hotel mit leckerem Frühstück und sehr schönem Sauna Bereich. Ca. 20 Minuten von Groningen entfernt. Ansonsten befindet sich nicht viel in umliegender Umgebung. Perfekter Ort zum entspannen und genießen. Zur Weihnachtszeit einen Besuch zur Festung Bourtange lohnt sich. Fahrtzeit allerdings 1 Stunde.

Good place to stay in the North-East.

I stayed here for 2 nights on business. Having stayed in quite a few hotels in the north east I found this to be comfortable. Downsides are that rooms do not have any facilities for making tea/coffee.

euk maar gedateerd

Leuk hotel maar wel gedateerd! Bedden zijn totaal versleten! Ook het restaurant meubilair ( vooral de metalen stoelen) zijn niet meer van deze tijd! Ze zijn wel bezig te upgraden heb ik begrepen, en dat is nodig! Personeel en eten was top!

Gutes Hotel in ruhiger Lage Nähe Groningen und Nordsee! Zimmer gut, Reception sehr hilfsbereit und nett mit gutem Englisch. Toller Wellnessbereich! Handtücher dazu allerdings nur für 3 EUR pro Person! Frühstück ok aber eine Dame war für alle Tätigkeiten zu wenig. Ab 09:30 Uhr wurde leider auch nichts mehr nachgelegt!

Missinformation annars okej.

Det utges i beskrivningen på hotels.com stt det finns spa på hotellet. Men när vi kom dit har dem stängt sedan år tillbaka pga ”jordbävningsrisk” enligt personalen. En jättebesvikelse då detta var en födelsedagspresent till min sambo, ”spa hotell och moto GP live i assen”. Men personalen är otroligt serviceminded och trevliga.
