"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. There's a small supermarket that we didn't actually have to use, as we shopped out and about in the bigger towns. There is somewhere to get a coffee in the morning if you...

"Die Unterkunft von Roy und Daniela ist außergewöhnlich, modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Es ist alles vorhanden was man für das tägliche Leben braucht. "Die Wohnung ist zwar klein, bietet aber alles, was man für ein paar Tage im Urlaub braucht! Da Premeno in den Bergen liegt, was es dort immer etwas kühler als direkt am See. Das hat den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht. Die Wohnung hat zwar keine Klimaanlage, aber sie war ursprünglich mal ein Gewölbekeller. Daher waren die Temperaturen auch bei 38° sehr erträglich! "This property has a big problem that you only realise on arrival. There are 134 narrow and steep steps (around 8 storeys) to climb to bring up your luggage (and groceries during your stay). When travelling with an infant and a pregnant wife this is far from ideal. Once you make it up, though, the view pays off the climb. It is stunning! However, mosquitoes won't let you enjoy it for long. Those little things are vicious! Another issue we found was that the garden was not fenced so or daughter...

"The apartment is clean and spacious, at 6’3 I was worried that I would be constantly ducking to get about but it wasn’t like that at all. Gianni and Danna were both very friendly and their garden is extremely peaceful. The walk up to Monte Faie from the end of their road was spectacular and the cascade at rovegro is also worth a visit"

"Corona is a charming village high in the mountains outside Lugano. We loved our stay in this spacious and comfortable house. It has a spectacular view of the mountains and Lake Lugano. The village has a charming church, shops, many ancient houses, a few hotels, and a large swimming pool open to the public. Nearby are hiking trails in all directions. It is perfect for a family vacation."
