Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.

Property is well located for a jumping off point anywhere in the Lake District. We had a two bedroom for my wife, my son, and with a parking spot right in front of the door. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was plenty to get you going. The you lady working the desk/restaurant/bar is a joy.

Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys.

The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pub is wonderful, The cuisine is delicious and contemporary, and the servers are lovely and efficient. The Inn is located near the Grade I church of St. Oswalds, -a two-minute walk away. Such a beautiful and peaceful place, especially including the surrounding grounds. We really enjoyed the associated pub a short walk down the street. The staff was great. We even went clay shooting with the renowned head chef.

Catherine was so helpful and kind to us. She and my husband celebrated special birthdays. She made our stay memorable

Absolutely incredible stay. The room was the cosiest - I could have slept for a week straight. The food was 12/10, massive portions and incredibly fresh. The best was the staff! Thanks all! From check in to check out, everyone was great to have a chat with. I can’t wait to come back.

This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I appreciated the don’t trust your sat nav signs...

Great overnight stay for us. Dinner was amazing and so was breakfast. Made our "Favorites" list (only 2/2 in all of the UK).
