The space
Our home was built in 1987 with extensive views over the surrounding horse pasture, meadows, trees and rock formations, with mountains in the backdrop.
We have two bedrooms, one with bunk beds (twins), the master with a queen bed. There is also sofa that folds out to make a bed for 1 adult or 2 children. We offer a full kitchen with most cooking utensils/cookware/dishes you might need. Plenty of extra blankets; a pellet stove that's very easy to run and electric heat in case of severe cold weather. We don't have air conditioning as we don't need it up here in the mountains!
Poo's Corner has a dedicated work space (with a great view!) Great for remote work;
fast wifi at 70 Mbps (Starlink); and a printer for your convenience.
Guest access
Guests will be given a code to the front door lock prior to arriving.
Our home is located near the Roosevelt National Forest, in a private community where walking is a popular pastime on the dirt roads and many hiking trails. Glacier View Meadows also has private fishing lakes (guest passes for our stocked lakes are $10pp), ponds and some waterfalls as well. In June, the meadows are covered in wildflowers including pink phlox, blue wild iris, blue larkspur and yellow/red gaillardia.
There are State and Federal Trailheads within 5-20 minutes. Favorite trails are Lady Moon, Mount Margaret, Hewlett Gulch, Young's Gulch, Grey Rock and many others. We're 1.5 hrs from Rocky Mountain National Park and 40 minutes to the eclectic haven that is Fort Collins. Fort Collins is also known as the Napa Valley of beer for the many breweries and beer gardens in lovely settings.
