Lillingstone Dayrell with Luffield Abbey Vacations from ￥187,947

Erm good location although need to be clear on booking sites that parking is £12 and not free! Breakfast is not worth £13, there is a McDonalds down the road I'd recommend that over what was available.

Room was not ready for my 3pm check in time. Credit card pre-authorisation was done by QR card which flagged as fraud at my bank. When this was pointed out to a staff member she magically produced a card reader she had previously claimed they did not have. Curtains in room left gaps at either side of window letting streetlight and then daylight into the room making it difficult to stay asleep. Staff claimed that you needed your room key to enter the hotel after 10pm but that was not the case - door is right opposite the main staircase so anybody can walk in off the street and have access to the entire hotel. Photos really oversell the place - actually quite shabby IRL and the decor is all over the place. Some of the figurines on display on the ground floor are borderline racist. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
