「We stayed at the green dragon a few years ago and it was great so we booked again expecting a similar experience. It has definitely gone down hill since our last visit, particularly the food and service level. This morning we left at 9:00 and other guests that had prepaid for breakfast couldn’t even get into the breakfast room to eat as there were no staff around! 「The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it.」

Met by two large under-controlled ladradors, a strong smell of smoke (remember what that was like?) and a pub with no tap beer , no kitchen or other staff. No food. I left pronto. This review may be unfair to the new owners but my reception was less than impressive and I have my doubts. Caveat emptor.」
