"Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food was good for evening meal and breakfast. However, the room let the hotel down. Stains all over the place (walls, floor, chairs, sofa...), holes in the wall, cupboard door wonky and hanging on by a thread, blind not working, both chairs wobbly and on the edge of collapse. If I'd been staying longer than one night, I'd have asked for a room change, but after a long day I really couldn't be bothered. A good refurb would do wonders!"

"The service this time round was faultless all round… From check in to small requests. Everyone was truly amazing. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, we are breakfast people but I am not a morning person. The staff were amazing and accommodated our request for my husband to bring some breakie back to the room for me. My husband doesn’t like mushrooms but he tried theirs, ate them all. He could not stop complimenting the breakfast, especially the mushrooms."

"Generally a pleasant stay' clean , decent sized room etc However, the lighting control in the room was poor...not enough or too much.. Also........the temperature of the shower water was eye poppingly hot, so much so, that it was barely usable, other than make tea with. I just could not adjust the water temperature,it was stuck fast, I literally had to hop in/out to get clean. I mentioned it to reception on the morning after my first night but sadly nothing was done by the time I left after four nights. Disappointing. Why do hotels have such cheap, useless shower controls? Even if they are working you can barely adjust them as they have shallow slippery controls with just a little bump on that that you can't get a grip on with wet hands."

"Room was a good size and very quiet. Staff didn’t provide clean mugs or glasses on day 2 - had to ask on day 3. Also had to ask for a second bath towel on one day as they’d only left one between two people. Food options were a little limited, but tasted good. They ran out of a couple of my regular drinks, and took a few days to restock."
