A marvelous experience through and through. The location is incredible, in walking distance to the village. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were huge and updated. Loved the entire setting. Anyone who has been to the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, CA, will understand when I say, it's a mini-version of that location.

This is one of the most wonderful and comfortable places I have ever stayed. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large (even by US standards), the breakfast was fantastic, but the people were beyond all expectations. Henri, Veldi, Dominique, and Norwin (the folks who manage and run the place) are the most wonderful, welcoming, friendly and kind people you will meet as a traveler. Truly an exceptional visit. There are no downsides. Just fantastic.

This is a nice, clean, well-maintained hotel in a wonderful town to use as a base for exploring the Southern Rhone region. The hotel has extensive grounds with two pools and multiple patios and sitting areas. Breakfasts are good, and the dinners are great while being reasonably priced. We had a lovely stay at this charming little B&B in Avignon, run by a very kind and warm-hearted couple. Neither of the owners spoke fluent English, but we were able to communicate perfectly well using a translation app. I also did my best to practice my elementary French, which made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. This hotel was the highlight of our Provence trip. The owner and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. They are generous on their servings. The location of the hotel is perfec for both local and for day trips. There’s a map on the wall with recommend place for those like us who do road trips. We stayed 3 nights and wanted to stay longer. Hotel 1770 & Spa served as our home base during the week we spent visiting Avignon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Pont du Gard, Arles, and Nimes. Sandine, the Hotel Manager, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel owner was so accommodating and kind—great with corresponding. The option to purchase parking in the nearby garage was easy and I’m glad I did it, as I arrived in the evening and street parking wasn’t readily available. The garage is a little tricky to understand navigating in it (one set of steps is odd floors, the other even floors), but I was given good directions (and a map!) for the area when it came time to walk back home. Right in the center of the action during the festival! We loved the location! Many amenities to enjoy- the breakfast was particularly convenient for early mornings.
