"The place was ok. Clean, older, and Ok. The bathrooms had liquid soap and shampoo in a packet and we only received one of them for 2 people. No face clothes, but that is typical for Europe. The beds were low as there is no box spring. No top sheet, just a duvet cover which stinks, but typical now a days. No elevator. The breakfast was also just ok, maybe a 7 on a 1 to 10 scale. Thet offered minimal fresh fruit, a couple cheeses and runny eggs. There were a few donuts, bread and croissants. The parking stinks as the lot close to the door is shared with a condo so you fight for spots with the homeowners. They have parking in front of the restaurant on the opposite side of the building, but you have to walk on a busy road to get to it since on off hours, the doors to get out are locked from the restaurant. This would be a fire hazard in the states. The good thing about the hotel is its location on top of a mountain near some great skiing. The castle has charm which is nice. The bartender was nice to talk to on Saturday night. He likes the Celtics like I do and he is quite the financial investor. Not sure if I'd stay there again, but it was a nice experience overall."

"Pros: Excellent location w/spectacular mountain views. Peaceful setting w/easy access to many hiking trails and restaurants. The views were more spectacular than photos on website! Free parking and the property was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked.Cons: No hand soap in the bathroom or kitchen. It would have been nice to have a house manual to explain the use of appliances, WIFI and heating. No communication with the property owner/manager but rather all correspondence were conducted with housekeeper. There was contradiction between what was posted on VRBO and what was communicated to us regarding check out time. "

"Overall we had a great holiday in this house. But there were a few issues: very strong musty / damp smell which slowly dissipated over the week. Cupboards full of owners stuff, other people's toiletries and hair grips etc in the bathroom. The owner agreed to provide bedding but there wasn't enough,. Fortunately we found some more under the eaves of the house. There were no duvet covers but we managed with sheets and blankets. The mattresses were old and stained, not very comfortable. But the bedding we found was clean. The light in the kitchen didn't work, we had to change the bulb. The room in the basement was cold and damp. Fortunately we didn't need to use it. The other bedrooms were good. The garden was so overgrown you couldn't use it but there is a nice concrete area round the house with chairs and table. It was lovely eating outside looking over to the mountains. The view and location are stunning and the chalet has a very cosy, traditional feel. Remember to bring basic supplies such as loo roll etc. "
