This was an excellent stay. Vivian was very kind and helped me to extend my stay by a day.

The service was impeccable from the check-in bHowever we had disrupted sleep staying in the Ruby Room (which faced the road) as renovations went on till early in the morning. The hotel staff were sympathetic and offered to move us to another room. They also arranged for a complimentary airport transfer.

Super friendly and helpful staff, great location, however, Super small rooms and a bit uncomfortably small. Absolutely not 5-star considering the room sizes (at least with American standards)

This hotel will be demolished next month, in January 2026. The government used Imminent Domain to take over a section of Lakeside property to create a community area. So, it doesn't really matter what I think about this hotel. It was a good place to stay in a variety of ways, but the deal breaker for me was that they refused to give my travel partner and I two room keys. Therefore, every time we went out separately, one of us had to be escorted back to our 10th floor room. The bedroom door of the suite locked when closed and required a key to open, then would beep madly every time it opened. That's disturbing to the person sleeping in the other room. And I got locked out one time in my towel and had to call the desk for help. The shower was utterly translucent. It was supposed to be slightly fogged, but once wet, there was no privacy at all. The toilet was the usual glass walls, also. Why do we want our throne on display? The breakfast was mediocre, the dinner was just plain bad. I think the pho broth was plain water! The staff was excellent. The location was great!

Hotel Solis. I booked this hotel based on its excellent reviews on Expedia, and it exceeded my expectations. Shortly after my booking, the staff contacted me and helped me arrange transfer to and from the airport. My room was a suite with a lovely sitting area and an outside balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive. They have a desk in the lobby to assist their guests with booking local tours and other activities. I did not use it—I generally free-lance when I travel, but I saw many others using it and it is nice to have. They also had spa services, which seemed to be popular, but we did not use those either-our focus was on exploring Hanoi. On check out day, we headed down to the lobby, and as I was signing the credit card receipt, housekeeping called the front desk and told them that we had left a plug adapter in the room, which they brought to us a minute or two later. I have never had a hotel check my room for forgotten items before, and I really appreciated this extra touch. The hotel also has a nice rooftop pool and an excellent rooftop bar. On this same trip to Southeast Asia, I stated at other hotels that I booked through the Marriott reservation system and other booking sites. Hotel Solis was my favorite of them all. Highly recommended.
