"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"Super space. Comfortable accommodations. Lovely back garden with a red squirrel visitor and lots of bird song. Great walks from the door with neighbouring Kirkby Stephen easily accessed by foot path or car for shopping. Ample parking space that is easy to access. Quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay"

"Great little cottage, definitely remote (but easy to find) and with a lovely wild little garden, albeit it shared with the next door cottage, so care is needed when letting dogs (and children)! in and out. Was very well appointed although we had a couple of little niggles, being a loose toilet roll holder downstairs and we found it very dusty and would definitely benefit from a top to toe bottoming with a damp cloth, surfaces, inside cupboards etc. Finally we weren't overlly keen on the lack of...

"I arrived early to a super friendly host. Was invited into an open lounge for the quests with a roaring real fire . Offered refreshments and then shown to my room for the night. . Cannot fault the whole experience from start finish . Real home made breakfast, just a lovely environment , and a very good price I would have paid more for this .
