Das Außentor der Burg Nanstein in Rheinland Pfalz. Es befindet sich zu Füßen des Kleinen Rondells am südlichen Ende der Burg. Der Torbau ist 4 Meter stark und wurde im oberen Bereich teilweise rekonstruiert. Die beiden Brillenscharten sind original: Sie dienten dem Einsatz von Handfeuerwaffen. Der Torbau entstand im späten 16. Jahrhundert.
The castle on the hill over Landstuhl has a lovely little restaurant on the edge of the property with an outside patio overlooking the view down to the city. Delicious food, beer and other drinks, very friendly place for refreshment after the hike up to the castle!

Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was very good. Sunday is a resting day and the reception, bar and restaurant were closed, which is a pity after a 5 hour drive. Ambiance and environment are greay however!
