Great Little Retreat

This is a great little place to stay. Right in the heart of town and close to all amenities. Back yard you can sit down by the quiet of the water and enjoy the sun!

Brand new studio!

We absolutely love this property because you can park right out front and unload and go right to the door. Just make sure when you go to the door and you put the code in that you look for the keypad as it’s hard to see sometimes. This place is absolutely perfect for folks wanting to go tubing as it’s literally five minutes from the Tube Shack and the entrance to the river. Depending on where you stay, there is a beautiful shared area right on the river and you can walk right down and there’s chairs where you can sit on the dock you can jump in. You can go paddle boarding. You can go floating as it’s quite calm down there. The swimming is amazing from the dock! We found the place to be immaculate as it is fairly new… There’s a coffee shop right next-door for anyone wanting anything other than their amazing the coffee they offer you in the suite which we actually liked. The owners were very receptive and wonderful people, and we would definitely go back!!!

Comfortable and Cozy

Felt clean, comfortable and cozy. The location is perfect. The game room is small and has a bench/bed to sit in. It has a generic gaming console and lots of board games! Bring a blanket if heading out there in the Fall/Winter! Cute and thoughtful addition to a beautiful property right on the water.

This is our 2nd year in a row - great accomodation and our host was available 24/7 !

We were able to rent multiple units, much of our family decended on Cowichan Lake. Our host arranged a deal at a lovely coffee shop for breakie; although we took advantage of our kitchenette and made fried eggs and oatmeal ! We dont want to say too many good things because we want it to be available when we come back ! Thank you Matthew and Alisha for helping me wiht all the digital stuff. You guys are truly the best.

Disappointing stay

Obviously the room has not or not been thoroughly cleaned, which surprised us since the cleaning fees that were included in our booking were quite high in comparison for the room size. It was not possible (not even after approx 30 tries) to turn on the TV which was unfortunate since it was raining heavily and we couldn't get outside. Also it was not possible at first to activate the heater, the room had a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius when we arrived. When we tried to warm up with the provided blanket we found a cleaning cloth wrapped inside. We tried to reach out to Matthew but the contact number found in the booking confirmation was not valid. It surprised us a lot to can't get hold of anyone especially since all the booking and payment emails we received after our booking came in very quickly. We tried to find a solution with Matthew and Alisha and proposed a reduced "cleaning" fee but never got an answer to this so we decided to unfortunately talk about our disappointing experience.
