"The family that runs this homestay is very warm and friendly. The room was big (surprising for Vietnam!), modern and clean. The best part for us was the view. The limestone mountains and the river we could see out our windows and door were just so picturesque. The location is away from the main homestay areas (although very close to Hoa Lu and the Trang An Boat Ride entrance) as well as any shops. They have a decent food offering, we found it useful to supplement with eating in town and bringing...

"I really enjoyed my stay here, it is a brand new hotel. The staff were so friendly, including Huong, Tung tu and Phuong. Who WhatsApp me to help me organise a driver or checking if I wanted any lunch preparing. At the same time they give you space too. So the ideal balance. It’s such a peaceful location, if you want visit the Padonga. As a nomad who works too, the wifi was really strong here, both within the room and outside. 10/10 Excellent

"Julie and her family, are a delight. The homestay has everything you need including a pool. Julie, is so helpful and spends time getting to know everyone that stays. Will recommend what to do locally and can help you with guides and tours etc. What a great welcoming homestay :), the room was very clean."

Bai Dinh Garden Resort & Spa Ninh Binh

"Nice and quiet. Ok for one night. Bed sheet were stained with blood. The pool is nice to have."

Ninh Binh Family Homestay

10/10 Excellent

"Had a wonderful stay. The friendliness of Thanh and his family is what stood out the most. The local excursions, the home-cooked meals, a refreshing dip in the pool after a hot day, and being greeted by their dog were other highlights. I especially enjoyed the bike ride through the rice fields."

La Charm Ninh Binh Hotel & Spa

Meliá Vinpearl Phu Ly

"Quite a dust in room, especially in bedroom around the tv and tv wooden doors on top not touched for long time and drawers in edges too, not a big thing, staff awesome, the receptionist, other staff with very limited English so then end up at the restaurant while on my way to swimming pool, the breakfast is very lovely concept, set up, almost all food great except the pancakes and very strange ham, not edible for European, the danish pastry and croissants were super buttery though 👍👍but in general very nice property, ah and when you try to call hotel, you are transferred to Spanish customer service with no Vietnamese knowledge, so took phone from my gf and used English instead."

Mandala Retreats Kim Bôi

10/10 Excellent

"The staff don't speak much English, but luckily Sinh is there—he speaks English perfectly and helps you with everything. I highly recommend using the 30-minute free massage and adding a 90-minute session with Chin. It was the best massage experience I’ve ever had; she is very thorough and doesn't miss a single muscle. The hot swimming pool is great at night, and I loved taking a fresh dip in the morning after a bike ride through the rice fields next to the hotel. The restaurant is great, and the breakfast offers a large selection of both Western and Vietnamese food. I had a mountain-view room, but it seems all rooms have a view (some overlook the pool in the foreground, others the spa roof). Definitely a great choice!"

Toki Artisan Lodge Vân Long
