"Pros: This charming historic hotel is in a great location in Marais. There are lots of little bars and restaurants. There is a lovely little bakery and a few small grocery stores that sell fruit, cheese, and wine within a short walking distance. There is a Metro stop right outside the front door. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our bags here before check-in and after we checked out. Our room was extremely clean and well-maintained. The mattress was new, and the bed linens were nice quality. This was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in Europe. Cons: We stayed on the top floor (6th floor on the top of the tower with the metal roof) during the late June heatwave, and it was SO HOT in our room. The ceiling-mounted air conditioner struggled to function. The hotel staff were very apologetic and provided two fans. In any other season, this room would be incredibly charming and romantic, but during a heatwave it is like sleeping in an oven. It sounds like most Parisian hotels in historic Haussmann-style buildings have similar issues. The room also does not have a traditional shower, but a small tub with a sprayer. My 6'6" husband found bathing here to be comically challenging."

"The place is very well located and easily accessible. Very clean and good amenities however they dis not have basic cooking supplies such as oil, salt and pepper. This should be a must if you have a kitchen. No coffee either so you need to buy your own. Shower is awkward to get into. If you are on the larger side, it will be impossible to get in or out without stumbling in the toilet. We were there during the heat wave and were grateful for the fan supplied and the opening windows however it was still very hot. I loved the inner courtyard with shade and bamboo. Overall very satisfied with Patios des Marais."

"The rooms were a reasonable size for Europe and well equipped. You can walk to Marais district on about 20 minutes. Breakfast is available on site although we never tried it. There are several cafes close by. The farmers market is right across the street and happens twice a week. Off you want to shop this is not your spot!"

"Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean & staff provided fresh towels etc daily which was great because we were there during 104 degree heat. Breakfast buffet was very good. Didn’t care for body wash and shampoo in combination…. Only one elevator, very slow…be prepared to take the stairs."

"A lovely, inviting small hotel next to the vibrant République square. 3 of 4 desk members were warm and friendly and all 4 were helpful. Free water, coffee, and pastries always available and beer, other snacks available at the desk Enjoyed the breakfast downstairs very much Rooms are very small, but clean and pretty. Our room smelled musty at times. We would stay here again!"
