Amanda & Graham were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to ensure we had the most relaxing stay with the use of their pool and sunbeds. The welcome gift of wine and treats was very much appreciated after our long drive from England. Easy access to the motorway is close by for day trips out. "Arrival - we found the property with no issues. Property zip code took us straight there. Bedlinen and bathrooms were clean. Flies were a problem, mushroom growing in the shower, tiles in shower need updating and replacing, door latch plates were all loose (made doors difficult to close), we didn't manage to get the tv working at all, light fittings in the kitchen were hanging dangerously from the ceiling, oven very dirty and difficult to light (think the gas jets needed a clean - i gave up),...

Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. "We stayed for a week. The weather did not turn out as planned however Amanda was very helpful and keen to help and ensure things were okay. The trip was good and we all enjoyed our stay. "

"We were very happy with our stay at Hobogite. Lots of thoughtful care from our hosts Rob & Lene to provide everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Much appreciated!! It was extremely peaceful and the garden & grounds were gorgeous. We have booked again for next year which I think says it all. If I might be permitted to make a couple of small constructive criticisms. The key press was awkward to use, especially in the dark. We had eight or nine days of rain & therefore spent more time inside than we would have liked. The sofa wasn't the most comfortable, but it was OK. Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The pool was lovely and although we were only able to use a couple of times due to weather, hopefully next year we'll spend more time down there. Rob and Lene, in lots of little ways, show how they genuinely care about the comfort of their guests & that they enjoy their stay. Who can ask for more? "

"Perfect house for a big family get together. Lots of spaces for people to gather or just do their own thing. The highlight was undoubtedly the large swimming pool where everyone spent most of their time. Nice outdoor dining area and BBQ where we ate most of our meals. The patio at the front of the house was perfect for sitting in shade when the sun got too hot, looking out into the green rolling lawn and a beautiful redwood tree. Lots of games for the kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table too. Very well equipped kitchen with separate larder, two fridges, coffee machines and everything a cook would need. Patrice was very helpful and responsive. "

The location is wonderfully scenic and quiet and Thomas as host was brilliant - helpful and on hand to help manage the pool and share info about local activities and possible trips/places to visit. Very welcoming and friendly. The house was lovely - with plenty of space and everything you need to just unwind and relax. Evenings spent sitting outside under the stars were lovely. "
