"Unique, older style vacation cabin that's a great alternative to a hotel room. It was nice to hang out in the chairs outside. We didn't use the hot tub or build a fire in the firepit, but those options are available. It's a quick, easy walked to the grocery store. Very friendly owners. "

The water heater pressure is unstable and as a result, it is hard to hold the water temperature in the shower. Finally, it would be helpful to add screens so that the bedroom windows can be open without the risk of bugs entering. Overall, I have to note these things, given the pretty high price tag for a 1BR. "My dad and I both enjoyed our stay at this rental. The proximity to RMNP entrance was wonderful and easy to make it into the park before the timed entry started. The master suite worked out well for my dad to stay on the same level once up the stairs. The room and attached bathroom worked out well for me on the lower level. "When choosing the rental my main priority was the view....and boy did this rental deliver! The cabin sits on Shadow Mountain Lake and provides view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The location is about 5 mins form the quaint village of Grand Lake that offers shopping and dining. "This wonderful property is on the northwest edge of Grand Lake - a short 3-minute drive to town, or a 10-minute walk. New construction with great attention to detail, this unit comfortably sleeps a family of six. It’s pet-friendly, and sheltered from the bustle of Grand Avenue. Only two miles drive to the west entry of Rocky Mountain National Park, and just 3/4 mile to the Grand Lake Marina & Lake Front Park. Highly recommended!"

"only issues (because of our age) mattresses were so high, my friend had to purchase a step stool in order to get in bed. lack of local news and CBS, and NBC channel very frustrating. "This was our 1st get away as a couple. (But would be absolutely perfect for a family or friends get away) This house was perfect! The views were amazing. The house had everything we needed, including already setting up the fire pit for us. The beds & couches were probably the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in in a rental property.
