Koriyama Castle

Hotel Anteroom was our first stop during our visit to Japan. We only stayed overnight. The hotel is located about a 15 mins walk from Kyoto Station, which we managed well with our large suitcases. We were greeted by a lovely staff member when we arrived. She was quick and efficient checking us in, and were allowed to our room a little early. There was a small Kyoto city accommodation tax to pay. We stayed in the south wing garden room. It's a spacious room with the large twin beds and small seating area. It has a beautiful Aomori hiba tub, which was amazing to soak in after a long day walking, along with a shower. The room sized window looks out on a pebbled garden that lights up at night. There is a small store selling small goods and t-shirts, a smoking room, vending machine and ice machine on the first floor. We didn't use the bar or restaurant while we stayed. There is a Lawsons and market located across the street. Also, it is only about a 20 minutes to walk to the Fushimi Inari shrine.
