"First time staying in a Ryokan and to our surprise, they send us to the “annex” which was not as nice as the main building of the hotel. "The photos don't do this ryokan justice. We had a semi-western room and it was very large (even compared to other ryokans) - so big it even has a little corridor. Room and overall facilities were quite modern. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Private onsens require booking and a 1000JPY fee which is ok but half board for my 2 year old child at 5500JPY was quite steep considering what they served (and options are limited given the amount of raw food for dinner).
