Staff really helpful re parking and arriving back from wedding after closing time. Very comfortable room and good breakfast only slightly let down by not doing 'proper' coffee (only instant was available), the tea was fine.

I would not recommend booking the dinner, bed, and breakfast package. The dinner was not truly included; instead, it operated as a voucher towards the meal, and this was not made particularly clear. In addition, the shower was extremely disappointing, providing little more than a drizzle and reminding me of an older electric shower from decades ago. That said, once you set aside the issues with the shower and the dinner package, the experience was very enjoyable. The atmosphere in the pub was excellent, the food was of a high standard, and the staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional throughout our stay, they did not know we had the dinner package until we asked. My only real criticism is the feeling of being somewhat misled regarding the dinner offering, which left a slightly sour impression. If you decide to visit, I am sure you will enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the breakfast. However, I would suggest avoiding any package that ties you into dining on-site and instead choosing where to eat based on your own preferences.

Had a lovely stay at the Rose and Crown. It was my husband's big birthday and they kindly had chilled prosecco waiting in the room for us on arrival! The room was very nice, ok bed big and comfy and they added a big fan as middle of a heatwave. The pub is a beautiful 17th Century coaching Inn full of character, nothing like a corporate beige box, right in the centre of the lovely high street. This obviously comes with some noise as you're on top of a pub. England were playing (winning!) so there was a busy atmosphere outside. They have added an additional inner screen to block of noise as best they can but you're not installing double glazing to a coaching Inn. We loved our stay, breakfast was really good, staff friendly and would definitely return if we're planning on dining at Li-Ly's again. (Which was also amazing).

Stayed one night at Rose and Crown. Stayed in a double room as that was all left when I booked. Greted by a helpful member of staff and shown to the room. Bit small and one side of the bed was against the wall. Bathroom was a bit outdated and not a great shower. Breakfast was great and Vicky was super. Attentive and polite.
