"Beautiful setting with wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. The house is charming, renovated, updated, clean, and comfortable. Great location for a family gathering to bike, visit the battlefield or visit Shepherdstown. Hosts went above and beyond to be sure we had all we needed. Would definitely stay again if in the area. "What a perfect home for our Thanksgiving celebration! There were so many rooms in which to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and the location was central to necessities. We had a great stay!"

"The apartment is great. I suspect it would be particularly awesome for a long-term stay. It's a basement apartment, so stairs weren't a surprise. Obviously, if you're not mobile, you won't pick this apartment. However, if you're a little wobbly, the stairs only have one handrail (it's not sketchy, but I rely pretty heavily on my handrails, and this one was not comforting), the bathroom floor is shiny and terrifying, the walk to the unit is bumpy, with lots of tree roots, uphill, and possibly...

"Easy check in. House is located in a cluster of homes. Photos are misleading. Cleanliness was sub par. Linens and towels from previous guests were laying on top of the washer. Wasn’t sure if the linens and towels that we did have were even clean and fresh. Home smelled of alcohol and cigarettes. Good location."

"The main thing I was worried about was being able to check in early because I had a winery concert event to go to and check-in is at 3PM and I was arriving at 11AM. When I arrived, my room was available, and I was able to check in early. The room was great, spacious, clean and smelled great. My only issue was there were no washcloths in the bathroom but that’s an easy fix and I called housekeeping and they brought them right up. The staff was very nice and accommodating, and every time I saw them I was greeted with a smile. "
