「Great Stay, quite tranquil」

「The setting of the hotel is superb – nice beach (the water has great mineral quality to it), different walks at the door step (Congo-Nile trail or lakeside paths, coffee washing station nearby is great to visit). The food is excellent (from the local vegetable and fruit garden) and rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The downsides are 11 km of dirt track in poor condition (allow extra 10-15 min relative to google maps estimate) and rooms can be too warm at night (24C at night, no aircon) 」

「The staff at this property were extremely nice and friendly. The journey from Kigali however was stressful. I recommend renting a jeep or a car with high tires as the roads leading to the accommodation are bad. 」

「My experience was slightly affected by the fact that I stayed in low season, and at a time when there was political instability along the border with DRC nearby. Hence I was the only guest for most of my time at the hotel which generated a slightly odd feeling. However, the suite I was allocated to was absolutely beautiful, incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean. 「Amazing hotel and extremely affordable. This for sure the very best location in Giseny. The hotel is directly at the lake. Walkable to the public beach and pretty much everywhere. The breakfast was amaizng and all the staff memebers were very friendly anddemonstrated solid hospitality skills. I loved everything about this trip.」

「What a charming and relaxing stay I had at this lodge. I brought friends and we had a marvelous time! The staff was excellent. Everything was clean. The food was very good. Great location. On a main road so easy to get to. I would stay here again. 」

「The staff are wonderful, both kind and efficient. The reception were helpful and made one feel so welcome on arrival. Getting there at night can be tricky as google maps is wrong while there are few signposts showing the way. The setting is fantastic and what a tranquil and relaxing place! Great place to see Nyungwe forest from.」
