This well appointed unit was updated, clean and organized. I especially appreciated that the towels and sheets were new and clean. The views from the lanai made outdoor dining a pleasure. Questions about parking were answered quickly and resolved easily. I would definitely stay in this unit again.

The condo was perfect for my large family of six. It was very clean upon our arrival and it had everything we needed functionally. The view from the large deck was very nice. The host was very responsive via text the few times I reached out. The only hiccup was that the condo was mislabeled in the parking space so when we showed up late at night in the dark we couldn’t find it. The property needs to remedy the parking labelling.

Great place and great location.

We had a fantastic time. The place was spacious and fit our needs. The place was exactly how it was described in the listing. One of the bedrooms did not have air conditioning – keep that in mind during the hot days.

Functional space for family of 5 with young children.

The property has a good amount of common space for large groups and had air conditioning but not in every room or space. There was limited essential cooking equipment but otherwise plenty of good beach gear. Not suitable for anyone who cannot climb stairs.

We had a great time here. Even though it was a little dated it was clean and comfortable. The vaulted ceiling made it feel extra spacious. The patio was perfect for drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and downing a few beers in the evening while chatting with each other. The girls loved that it was so close to the shopping in Wailea. We’ll definitely come back.

Great Stay!

My wife and I stayed at this condo with 2 other couples, and we had a great time! Really nice views of the ocean from the lanai and its right off of hole #2 of the Wailea Blue course. The condo is in a great location that is walking distance from the Wailea shops. Its a bit further to walk to the beach so we ended up driving more often. We didn't end up cooking much at the unit, and we were careful about leaving food out so we didn't have any ant issues like other reviews. There were 6 beach chairs which was a nice touch to have. Overall we really liked the condo & location and would stay there again.

Family vacation

Everything was very nice except we were not happy with the problem we were having with fire ants. We understand it’s a tropical place. We understand that there will be bugs, but we had an alarming amount of fire ants, and as a matter of fact, my two daughters and two son-in-law‘s got bit by them because they were coming in from the kitchen door and the bedrooms they were staying in were right there and unfortunately they were getting bit by them. So That left a very bad taste in our mouth unfortunately. And for that reason, I don’t think we would stay here again. I took pictures of how many ants there were. We had to spray ant spray and it didn’t even help that much.

Great Sunsets

We loved watching the sun set from the porch. Everything was clean. The condo also catered to many age groups. It had most beach stuff you would need, toys, games, hangers, and laundry on patio. Very easy walk to the pool and hot tub area

Excellent location close to beaches and top shelf shopping. Beautiful views from our second floor deck. A/C very efficient and our parking slot was 10-15 yards from the stairs to our unit. Quiet neighborhood and only 12-15 miles from airport.

Hidden Gem in Wailea

Overall, my group of six 30+ adults was very happy with GC #170 and would stay again! The location was *perfect*; the beaches close to us (Wailea Beach in particular) had that perfect soft sand, clear water, gentle tides, etc. that you want in a beach. We also saw sea turtles every time we went down there! The provided beach chairs from GC #170 were in good condition and comfortable. There are also a couple of shopping centers close by, which had coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. It felt very safe to walk to any of these places, including in the early morning and evening. In relation to the rest of the island - it took about 10 minutes to get to Kihei, 30 to Kahului, and 45 minutes to Lahaina, and 25 minutes to the Ma'alaea harbor. For the actual condo, it is a bit tired and could use a few more updates, but as a place to sleep, play games, and occasionally eat, it was perfect. Plenty of seats for everyone to comfortably sit. Window AC units were in every room except the twin room, which was my friend's only complaint. A provided plug-in AC unit (like a Dyson) would be an easy fix to that issue. All six of us thought the beds were comfy, and there is a new kitchen counter (granite) as well which was nice for cooking. I really enjoyed eating breakfast out on the lanai every morning. The pools in the complex were on the small side, but never crowded or hard to find a chair. Overall the complex was very quiet, had relaxing energy, and was beautifully landscaped.

Nice place to stay

The place is spacious, quite and nice with great terrasse and views on the golf course. It is quite and close to the Wailea beaches (short drive). The pools are nice too. We had a great time at this rental. And preferred to be not to close to the big resorts area.

Property was very nice. Not quite as close to the ocean as I expected. Certainly walking distance but not if you are carrying beach gear. Area is perfect for getting to all Maui has to offer. Would certainly consider Grand Champions if we visit again.

Amazing stay at 170 Grand Champion

This was the perfect condo for my family of four and my dad to stay. We had a lot of space with three good size bedrooms, two bathrooms and two lanais. A large living room, lanai and dining room made it easy to visit all together. It was equipped with everything we need including 5 beach chairs, toys and activities. Thanks for a great stay!!

Lovely condo!

We had a wonderful stay at this Grand Champions condo! The property management was very friendly and responsive. They answered all of my questions in a timely fashion. The condo itself was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We loved the high ceilings and all of the space. The master bedroom was enormous. The location was very conveniently located near the beach, resorts like the Fairmont Kea Lani, restaurants like Monkeypod Kitchen and shopping center. It overlooks the golf course which is serene and beautiful. We had a great view of the sunset from our balcony. There were 3 bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen, a bit dining/living room and another dining room set outside on the balcony, so lots of space for everyone to spread out. Only minor issue is what others have mentioned, which is the bathrooms are a little dated. Loved it- would stay here again very happily.

Celebrating 50(1)st anniversary!

We planned this vacation for my in-laws and had to reschedule due to COVID. Every single step of the way, we were taken care of. We love Grand Champions and have continued to return. This unit was clean, organized and has incredible views! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will be back.

Family vacation

We stayed 10 days at this condo. We absolutely loved it. There was 6 of us and we felt like there was enough room for all of us. The views were amazing and so close to walk to shops and coffee!! It had everything we needed to cook and make meals! Definitely one of our favorite places to stay!

Comfortable spot for family

I rented this condo for the gorgeous ocean/sunset view and was not disappointed. The kitchen in this unit is updated, but nothing else. The carpet, bathrooms, furniture (including patio furniture) were all pretty worn out. Several of the beach chair straps were worn/torn and impractical for use as intended. There were no boogie boards or floats. The toilets were slow to flush. But, with 3 grandkids along this condo was very comfortable for everyone to enjoy, and we did! Just know this is not the normal Wailea upscale property. The management company was very helpful throughout the trip. I intended to call about the toilets, just never took the time.
