Nice place to start our holiday in Rwanda

This was a very good place to start our holiday in Rwanda. Easy access from the airport, good priced and with a friendly staff, spacious room and had what tasted to be a good kitchen based on a few meals we had there.

Confused and disorganized hotel.

Despite me following up several times prior to arrival to ensure everything was in order, hotel staff did not seem to be aware I was coming. Clerk at reception told me I needed to pay immediately and also pay an additional amount for my wife. She was expressing an unusual and strange urgency regarding this while I got my documents out proving to her that I had already paid in full for two guests via Hotels.com. This exchange set the tone and made me uncomfortable. Room was not tidy upon arrival and lacked towels and toilet paper. They did end up cleaning the room properly on the second day. I think overall this may have been a decent hotel pre pandemic but they no longer seem to have any idea of how to run a hotel unfortunately.

Visit to Kigali

Well, i had mixed emotions about my stay. Kigali is a very beautiful, clean and organized city. The staff at the hotel were amazing. The location is about 15 minutes by car and an hour by working from downtown and it is right by the police headquarters, the president office, the USA embassy, the national library, and the hospital. I go out to walk everyday and even get moto taxi to to town. It feels safe. The hotel has a restaurant with a limited choice. The free breakfast is very good. The fridge in my room never worked for my entire stay. I will go back there again because of the staff. They're nice. When choosing the room, just keep in mind that there's no elevator🙃
