Property and staff were amazing !! Food , accommodations and transport were great. Unfortunately when it came down to the people in public in general the people of Germany were extremely un helpful, they seem to basically not have time to even point the right way. I have traveled the work mostly on work time or military and Germany is a country I will never return to .. so sad. But what a beautiful country ….sorry !!!!!!

Best in Galaxy

As a Hard core Road warrior (+45 yrs) I can definitely say this is the BEST place in North Deutschland. I’ve recently stayed in 5 star all over the place, heck, I dream Mars/Jupiter/Saturn (definitely not PLUTO) but Der Steigeberg

Good hotel but disappointing restaurant visit

Relatively good hotel with friendly staff and a quiet location near the harbor and city center.. However, the restaurant was disappointing. We ordered asparagus (as one should do when visting Germany in early summer). It was so overcooked that it was difficult to cut. Would certainly have appreciated my Kiel visit (and the hotel) more if the dinner had been as good as earlier reviews suggested.

The room smelt like feet out of boots after a 10-hour walk. The staff new unfriendly and not very helpful. I wouldn't touch this property with a barge pole from a mile away.

De rodede rundt i det ved vores indtjekning. Vi var 3 par og jeg havde booket til os alle og sat et navn på hvert værelse og så kunne de ikke finde mit på trods af at jeg havde booket alle tre værelser. Samme problem havde vi ved tjek ud. Det burde ikke være så svært. Man skulle stå i kø til morgenmaden og der blev ikke fyldt op i bufen hurtigt nok, så man kunne ikke være sikker på at få et rundstykke. De burde jo vide hvor mange gæster der skal have morgenmad. Ellers meget fine værelser og pænt hotel. Der var dejlig roligt.
