The quintessential Kiawah Island retreat, 584 Whimbrel Road, embodies southern charm and elegance. This classic residence, with its natural cedar shake siding, seamlessly integrates with the breathtaking natural beauty of Kiawah. Situated behind the exclusive second security gate and a short stroll from the island's pristine 10-mile beach, extensive bicycling and walking trails, this home offers unparalleled access to world-class golf, tennis, and five-star dining.
Spanning 3,628 square feet, this meticulously maintained five-bedroom, four bath home offers picturesque views of the Tom Fazio-designed Osprey Point Golf Course's eighth green, conveniently near the Osprey Clubhouse. The home is offered fully furnished, adorned with sophisticated coastal-themed decor.
Upon entering, you step into a two-story high entryway with a clerestory window, providing an abundance of natural light. The open floor plan is designed to maximize ambient lighting, featuring maple-colored hardwood floors.
The living room boasts a high ceiling with exposed beams. The focal wall has floor-to-ceiling windows and two French doors that open to a serene outdoor oasis. The deck, which spans the length of the house, includes a screened porch and offers access to the in-deck saltwater pool. This pool is a perfect spot for relaxation, surrounded by pine, crape myrtle, and palmetto trees, with strategic views of the fairway.
Ideal for indoor and outdoor entertaining, the living room flows seamlessly into a dining area that comfortably seats eight and opens to the spacious screened porch, an idyllic spot for morning coffee or evening gatherings. The gourmet kitchen, which was recently finished just a year ago, adorned in whites and golds, features stainless steel appliances including a Jenn Air gas stove, LG convection oven microwave, and refrigerator, a GE dishwasher, granite countertops, and a kitchen island/breakfast counter that seats four. A pass-through connects the kitchen to the living room.
The primary bedroom, with its high ceiling, opens to the deck through framed sliding glass doors. It features a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with ceramic tiled floors, a glass walk-in shower, a soaking tub, and a beautiful wood vanity with granite counters and dual sinks. Also on the main level, you'll find a second bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom, remodeled in the last year, with beautiful built-in's, just off the kitchen.
Upstairs, the game room will provide hours of entertainment, and is complete with its own beverage center. Off this space are the three well-appointed guest bedrooms, and two private bathrooms, featuring ceramic tiles, granite-topped vanities, one with a tiled walk-in shower the other with a tiled tub-shower combo.
No pets, no smoking, no events allowed. Guests are not able to use the garage but there is plenty of space for storing bikes and beach chairs. Pool can be heated for an additional fee of $100 a day, four day minimum and at least 72 hours notice required. Pool is an electric heat pump and does not heat when temps are below 60, not for use in coldest times of the year, max temp is generally 84 degrees.
When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.
As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2012 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access;. Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay.
