This riad was incredible! Although it was over 300 years old it has been maintained very well. Some of the original tile was still visible and just incredible. Ahmed the owner and his daughter seemed like they were old friends or family and treated us like we were the most special guests they ever had. Just returned from a fabulous stay at Riad Kalaa2 in the Medina in Rabat! The Riad is beautiful with a lovely courtyard and roof terrace with pool so makes for a lovely and relaxing place to unwind after a busy day. Breakfast was delicious and extremely generous with fruit, yogurt, eggs, bread and pastries and fresh squeezed orange juice. Every staff member is friendly and helpful! We needed an affordable place to stay for our one night in Rabat. A lot of the traditional hotels did not seem up to par and this riad seemed to have fabulous reviews. We took a risk and I think it was worth it. The old world charm and lovely welcome treats made for a great first impression. Breakfast was ample and varied and the service was lovely. A little tucked away in the medina so you may need help if large/multiple bags are involved. All in all, a short but lovely stay
