「A unique experience. Staying in a treehouse was very high on the novelty scale. Expect a slight slope in the floor, and don't forget to close the windows before you go to bed as the monkeys are sneaky and will steal any fruit that you leave on the dining table. A fun night.

Das fenster im Bad liess sich nicht schließen, dadurch besteht die Gefahr dass Mosquitos ungehindert eindringen und das in den Tropen. Im Flur liegen tote Insekten, Kakerlaken. Insgesamt ist das gesamte hotel schmutzig und heruntergekommen auch wenn sich das Personal bemüht. 」

「Avoid this hotel at all cost. Room is infested with insects, bed bugs and mosquitos. We spent 1 hour just killing insects and sanitising the room before we could unpack. stained bed sheet and hot shower only lasted less than 10 mins and next day still no hot water, electricity supply was on and off at night, the worst was that the hotel manager did not even respond to our messages. In the hall way along the staircase, it’s full of dead wasps lying around. Also we found hair in our dinner...

Then, they said we hadn't paid enough, that the rooms prices has increased, and instead of the two rooms we had booked and paid for, we would be given one.」

「The homestay double booked my booking so I turned up and they had nowhere for me to stay. At 5pm I then had to try and find a room in Ella for the night, in peak season. Ended up staying in a dirty hotel as that was the only option left after 3 hours of searching, and got severely ill from the food there. My whole holiday was completely ruined thanks to Dimuthu homestay. Unbelievably unprofessional. DO NOT book here, it is not worth the risk.」
「Don’t bother with this hotel. I had a paid booking but they refused to put me up, claiming that they didn’t have a booking for me from Expedia. Refused to budge and threatened me with police action, so I had to stay somewhere else. 」
"We had an incredible stay at 98 Acres Resort & Spa during our trip to Sri Lanka. The resort is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, offering stunning views of the lush green hills and tea plantations. The location is perfect for relaxation, yet close to popular attractions like Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arches Bridge.
Our room was spacious, beautifully designed with natural materials, and had a private balcony where we could enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Waking up to the sunrise over the hills was truly unforgettable.
The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with a great selection of local and international dishes.
If you’re looking for a luxurious yet nature-immersed experience in Ella, I highly recommend 98 Acres Resort & Spa. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Sri Lanka!"
