The beds were uncomfortable and felt worn. The water tasted like rusted metal pipes. They did not have a mini fridge, microwave or even a single cup coffee maker. They listed it have tv but only had 2 channels. The room had lots of bugs not bed bugs but insects.
The place smells like fresh urine, and stale cigarettes. The bedbugs and cockroaches should be splitting the cost of the room with you if you are unfortunate enough to stay at this dump.
I'd consider sleeping on the ground next to your car and taking your chances with the grizzly bears if I were you.
However, it was a great location.
The owners stayed up and drank at the bar with us and then made us amazing food! The rooms were just that, rooms. No internet and the tv had one channel. But if your out here you shouldnt be looking for that kind of stay. great hiking trails and the owners are 420 friendly outside of the rooms of course!
Great place for a biker party, I'm a biker, Not a place you want to stay while on the road, The water tasted like rust so it wasn't drinkable in the room. I was the only one staying there and for some reason it pretty noisy with people in the parking lot raising hell. Swim away Nemo, Swim Away !!
We arrived to a place that was overgrown and not keep up. We had to check in in the bar. We were the only people in the whole hotel for several hours. Finally late in the evening two other couples checked in. The place was creepy enough that we felt we didn't want to go out after dark. They had a rv campground that only had one resident that looks like they live there full time. All the rv sites were overgrown like they had not been used in years. In the room was a bucket that they had hand written on that it was an ice bucket. The smoke detector was missing and the fire extinguisher was gone. Really didn't make you feel safe. There was a tv in the room that barely worked with one scratchy channel. The place with a little work on someone's part could be a nice quaint destination.
Room TV only had 1 channel when it worked. No manager on site. Ran out of bar up the street. When I asked about tv problem bar person called someone and I was told they would be in the next morning but most likely it was the weather, it had been raining since we arrived. No one available at the bar after 9pm sunday night or before 11 am the rest of the week.
View was beaytiful, clean showers and a nice bed to rest every night. It was a very comfortable place for my mom and sister they were close by where we were staying. If the need comes up again we will definitely use the Decanter Inn again. The brochures shows exactly what everything looks like.
Out of the way. Located on 65 beautiful acres complete with a stocked trout pond. Owners couldn't have been nicer...pleasant interesting and accommodating. Don't be put off by your first impression. It looks a little shabby but well worth it. Fully stocked bar and restaurant run by the Louisiana expatriate owners...great!
The deck outside my room was rotting and dangerous. I stayed 2 nights. My room was not cleaned even though I put out the door knob placard stating I wanted it cleaned. Only one TV channel....some sort of old movie. No Shampoo and the water stunk. The restaurant wasn't open until day 2 ,and then only for dinner. Over all a very unpleasant stay. Next time I will sleep in my car instead of staying at the Decanter Inn.

Liked: Cleanliness
Run by people i can relate to
A little off the grid but priced well and clean. At mile marker 107 no matter what Google says, older rv park with rooms a bar and cafe could be picked up a little outside but thats Alaska. Rooms basic with a shower a tv no wifi or cable perfect for a fishing trip.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Disliked: Staff & service
Okay for dip netting
It's a no frills place to stay. Very clean which was all we cared about.
This establishment is very run down. Outside of building very cluttered and dirty. Rooms are down the road from the office, which is located in the bar. Staff was nice. Outside of motel was very dirty, old washing machine on the deck. The flooring on the deck had not been cleaned in a VERY long time. Rooms were very small and dated. No amenities. Would not recommend. Very unhappy with this reservation.
