This boutique establishment is right on the ocean, enveloped in lush tropical gardens with everything you need for your vacation - including a swimming pool. The property sits on a quiet acre with the beach at your feet. The sounds of the waves and the whispers of the trade winds to let you know you have made it to paradise. Watch the turtles come up to the reef or the fish in the tide pools!

Conveniently situated on the oceanfront, your ground-floor studio condo provides a full kitchen with everything you need to whip up home-cooked meals. Admire breathtaking ocean views from your scenic lanai. Extras include beach towels, a TV with cable, and free WiFi. The grounds also feature a poolside grill and coin-operated laundry. Find shopping and dining within walking distance, including a coffee shop just across the street.

The beds are able to be set up as a single king-size bed or 2 twins. We will have it set as a King, but if you would like it configured as 2 twins instead, please reach out to our guest team prior to checking in and we are happy to accommodate.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Beautiful Oceanside view

Nice little unit, right on the ocean. We sat on our patio in the mornings to watch the sunrise. We are just steps from a small beach, perfect for watching the surfers.

The view is unbelievable. Place is on the small size, but has everything. Nice greating package, beach chairs, mat, umbrella, fantastic patio seating, snorkel gear and flippers. Fully stocked kitchen.

Nice Room - Beautiful Location - Poor Management

Nice complex with well kept grounds and old Hawaii charm. The full kitchen is a definite plus. The bed was comfortable. The location on what I've always fondly called "Little Beach" is perfect and spectacular. Unfortunately, management is lacking. There is no local person to call if assistance is needed. I agree with others that Vacasa is NOT a desirable vacation rental management and owners must avoid them to maintain healthy reviews and happy guests. They instruct guests here at Kapaa Sands to check in at the office and get a parking pass, but there is no office or any onsite management. Requests for late check in or out are pretty much ignored. And the cleaning needs to be improved. We had an incident with a cane spider and had to take the whole bed apart and turn it upside down to get him out. It is filthy under there. There are dead bugs in the kitchen drawers but thats kind of normal here. I wash everything before we use it, but must report that I found that the dishes and cookware, for the most part, were not washed properly. The shower tiles are moldy but thankfully I found some bleach to spray in there. Its a long review, just to let future guests know what to expect. I do like this place and really enjoyed my stay, but if I was the owner, I would be sure these things were clear to guests and/or taken care of. Folks spend a lot to come here, and we deserve cleanliness and kind attention to detail.

Incredibly Perfect

Kauai exceeded our expectations and we LOVED our stay at our unit in the Islander Resort. We had amazing views, a perfect lanai to enjoy and an excellent pool to enjoy. We spent many evenings at the resort soaking everything in. The coconut coast is central to everywhere you need to go on Kauai and we can’t wait to come back soon. Thank you so much for the highlight of our Anniversary trip to Hawaii!

The property is an excellent value. We had a view of the pool and beyond that the ocean. The property was quiet except for the roosters which we didn't mind. The TV wasn't working and even though we called twice and was told it would be taken care of, it never was. But even that didn't bother us too much. WE were too busy exploring the island or sitting on our deck enjoying the view. Mahalo!

On the downside

Everything was beautiful, and the views were amazing; the unit itself was very clean. The only problem I had, but it's my fault, I should've asked about the shower. I'm 74 and have Parkinson's, my balance isn't good. I should've asked if it was a handicap shower, with rails. I also think it would be a good idea to put something down, in the tub, whereby someone wouldn't slip and fall; I found the tub floor to be slippery, so I was very nervous in the shower. Fortunately, I didn't have too much of a problem climbing the stairs, as they weren't straight up. I didn't realize, until later in the booking, that there wasn't an elevator. If I were in better health, we would DEFINITELY stay there again.

Overall a really good experience. The unit was a bit weathered and could use a bit of updating, but it had everything we needed. Great area with walking distance to shops, would defiantly stay again.

Great location

We liked the closeness to the airport for the early morning flight home and quickness to the beach after traveling all day to get there. We used the included beach chairs. Closeness to coconut marketplace was handy. Central location driving around both sides of the island. Did not find sheets for the sofa sleeper. Good thing we didn't need them. Would stay again...probably not with kids though. Other resorts may have better pools/water slides.

Awesome place!

Loved our stay in Kapaa! This property is clean, conveniently located next to the marketplace and was right on the water. We enjoyed tasty beverages from the pool bar! Will definitely book again :)

Great Location

Great location, easy walking distance to nearby shops/restaurants. Imua coffee shop conveniently located next to Islander. Simple little condo with great lanai view. Kapa'a is centered making trips to North/South shores simple.

Perfect Location

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was nice and spacious and even had a cooler so we could bring drinks down to the beach (which the view of it from the lanai is awesome). AC works great and I actually found the bed comfortable. It was really convenient to walk to Coconut Marketplace (just 5min or less) for groceries and peruse shops. The workers at the stay were very nice and helpful as well. Def recommend!

Great Location

This property is very nicely manicured and well kept. Great view of the sunrise right from the balcony. Comfortable room, as pictured in the photos. Great location well within walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, and Lava Lava Beach Club which has great food and drinks!

Great location

The location was ideal for our first visit to this island. Easy to reach north shore or south shore within a days visit. walking distance to restaurants and stores which is handy. Beach and pool very nice. Few items: there is no silver ware - no sheer drape-only block out-coffee pot was not clean and did not use it for that reason. Very comfortable bed and room in general for a couple. Would definitely consider again or recommend.
