「I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Royal Kalaw Hills Resort. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the food is excellent and the service was personal and everyone was very attentive. Chozin, who manages the resort was particularly helpful and I could always count on her to help me in many capacities. Her English skills are very good and she was able to help tremendously. Thank you all for a lovely visit!」

「Pros 1. Rooms are just okay - spartan (not big) along with toothbrush, toothpaste, bath gel, shampoo 3. Free water bottle per day 4. Refilling of water near the reception area 5. good Restaurants within 20 metres 6. Very Nice balcony - you can see the sunrise sitting in your room (provided you get the road facing room) and spend time with your friends in the huge balcony. 7. Exceptional location 8. 「Older building needs bit of maintenance. Outstanding welcome with rose petals and towels folded into statuettes. No air con and quirky electricals. Breakfast only just OK, could have been better for budget. Stairs, no lift, par for course for Myanmar. Had to ask for basics like tea bags (also par for course for Myanmar where it is assumed you want coffee).」

「This hotel is excellent! I had a large and comfortable room. The staff is kind and responsive, with the added benefit of allowing me to check in at 4am after a grueling overnight bus ride from Yangon. The breakfast was excellent as well. I will note that hotel.com says the hotel is 8+ miles from City center. This is not correct. It is about a mile, it a 15-20 min walk.」

「Arrived at the hotel and hotel staff mentioned that they do not have agreement with Expedia since 2019. I wonder why Expedia still list this hotel in the website. Fully paid for rooms and still awaiting reply on refund.」
