"Kalamis Marina Hotel is a great choice. It is located close to the sea promenade and a park. I loved walking there and feed the kitties:).From the hotel room you can hear sea-gulfs-which I loved. There are many grocery stores and restaurants close by althouh Kalamis restaurant menu is great - I ordered several times breakfast which was delicious.The personnel is very kind and helpful. I fully recommend this hotel."

The hotel itself is very clean and in a prime location on the Asian side of İstanbul, you get both the more local vibe and warmth of that side with the European side literally 20 mins by ferry. "We stayed in the standard suite on the first floor, smaller room but it was very clean, organized well and sufficient for two people. Very helpful staff, walking distance to ferry terminal, buses, cabs and the Kadıköy center. If you’re a light sleeper though, city never sleeps so expect some street noise and due to the historical building wood floors, some noise from within. I’d recommend this place for sure."

But you can walk to the metro station in 5 mins (loads of life there) and from there on to the busy kurdikoy area in another 10-15 mins."
