"We arrived at this hotel after a 2.5 hour drive from Christchurch by rental car. The very cheerful staff welcomed us, which helped to ease the fatigue of the long drive on unfamiliar roads. The grounds were well-cleaned and very quiet. The sounds of birds singing and the waves crashing on the shore beyond the mountains were pleasant to hear. We stayed for two nights, and the other guests were also polite and pleasant to greet. If I could make a few suggestions for the next guest and the manager, it would be best to check that some of the downlights in the dining room need to be replaced and that the clothes dryer stopped working on the second day. But that's really just a small thing. With the nature of Kaikoura and the hospitality of the staff, we were more than satisfied. Thank you！！"
