"Wir haben hier wundervolle Tage verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist genau wie auf den Fotos beschrieben. Sie ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles sehr sauber und wir konnten uns extrem gut erholen. Wir haben den Pool und die Terrasse, die von außen nicht einsehbar sind, sehr genossen. Außerdem konnten wir im Garten Leguane, Schmetterlinge und viele Vögel - auch die scharlachroten Aras beobachten, die sich von den Früchten der Palme im Garten ernährt haben. "The pool is awesome, you feel like swimming thru gardens. Great restaurants variety. The bufet breakfast is full of different options aside the gallo pinto, fruits, cheeses, jam, plantain, sour cream, juices, cereals, different breads and sweet delicatessens! The beach is not bad but is not the most beautiful, country has many more beautiful ones! The sunset is happening behind a mountain not in front of the ocean! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Full of wild life, where you can see different type of birds, frogs, iguanas, raccoons. Finally, the staff is very kind and do whatever the can to make you feel special!"

"I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I booked a Deluxe room with a pool view, but upon arrival I was given a “comfort garden” room instead, which did not have any meaningful garden view. The plants outside the room were identical to those throughout the hallways, so it felt misleading. When I asked about the room discrepancy, Angela at the front desk explained that only garden rooms accommodate three people, which I understand. However, I was still charged the higher Deluxe room rate. When I requested a partial refund due to this downgrade, Veronica said she would speak with the manager and advised me to contact Expedia. At checkout, I followed up with Angela but was told there was no update. After contacting Expedia, they reached out to the hotel and informed me that the hotel refused to issue any partial refund. Additionally, the experience was disappointing from the start. Our room was not ready upon arrival, I had to request additional towels, and the room itself showed signs of poor maintenance, including water damage, cracked walls, and overall lack of cleanliness. Overall, the service, communication, and room quality did not match what was advertised or what I paid for. I would not recommend staying here based on this experience."

"Hermosa Beach in Costa Rica is easily the best ocean swim I have ever had. The waves are massive and completely relentless—just wave after wave. But you need to be a good swimmer if you are going to go in. The currents are very strong. I was wiped out in just five minutes, while some surfers were effortlessly riding them for three hours. It makes sense, though—fighting the edge is where the real workout is, while the deeper water lets you actually ride the energy. The hotel is right on the beach. We landed a day early, cutting the stay at La Fortuna by a day. We got a different room, but Jacob offered me the better room. As it turned out, there was a beach facing room but it was occupied. The following day, he transferred us to that room and didn't even charge us. The service is terrific, the rooms were great and the stay was simply amazing. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Costa Rica."
