The hotel smells nice in the halls, but the first room we were placed in smelled like marijuana, cigarettes and mold. The chair in the room was broken. We asked to be move and the front desk quickly changed our room when they heard the concerns. The fire alarm went off in the evening. Some folks left, some didn’t. Apparently if you take too hot a shower the steam sets off the alarm. We traveled with young kids who were frightened after this experience. Breakfast was ok. We have stayed in other choice hotels with a wider range of food options. The second room we were assigned - Beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean. All appliances worked.

The only good thing was Sam, she was helpful and accommodating. The property looks “painted over”…it’s a low budget hotel that wants to be a Hilton. My flight was cancelled from California to Jacksonville due to bad weather in Atlanta so I had to re book and tried to cancel my first nights stay at this hotel as I would not be arriving until the next day. The hotel person that I spoke to, Bhavin Patel, was less than accommodating. I then called Expedia, who I booked it through, and they were more than happy to refund my first nights stay. The hotel refused. After 3I minutes on the phone, no satisfaction. I arrived the next day and Sam checked me in, I explained the situation, she told me she was a couple of weeks new and apologized. My granddaughter, who I was there to see was in the hospital and I was rushing to get there. Upon returning to the “motel” the fire trucks were outside and we could not enter the building for what seemed like FOREVER! Finally we’re allowed in. The TV did not work, the phone in the room did not work, and after seeing Emergency Response teams , I felt I needed a landline. I severely bruised my knees on a metal piece on the bed that was protruding on the side, that the mattress should have been covering, I will never stay at this “motel” again. I fly to Jacksonville, several times a year to see and pick up a very special granddaughter. I will avoided this establishment going forward and urge anyone else to do do. Low budget. Not clean. Not friendly.

Just got back yesterday from our stay at the Clarion Hotel, the hotel lobby is very beautiful, the marble floors are state-of-the-art, it appears that a lot of thought was put into the design of the lobby.The hotel staff was very friendly. When pulling up to the hotel, it was aesthetically very pleasing. The breakfast was great, it would have been nice to have an alternative meat since we don’t eat pork, but otherwise than that, it was wonderful plenty of choices of things to eat, from cereals, fruit yogurt, bagels, etc. There was plenty of upfront parking. We stayed two days in celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary. The room was very clean and fresh smelling. I gave four stars instead of five mainly because the bathroom shower walls was peeling and the toilet seat wobbled, also there was a missing ceiling tile in the dining area. I was told by the staff that someone was coming in this week to address the shower walls and maintenance. would take care of the wobbling toilet seat. Except for the aesthetics of the peeling shower walls we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. It was perfect for our stay.

Staff was nice and accommodating, but I’m very disappointed. First and foremost, I have no clue how this hotel had so many good reviews for cleanliness. The room was absolutely filthy. The bathroom had mold all in the shower. Bathroom had dirty walls, room walls had God only know what it was. The filter in the room had so much dirt caked that it wasn’t functioning. The smell was awful from the ac unit. The first sign of filth is when we walked inside the room the floor was so greasy. I almost slipped and fell. The towels had pubic hair on them. We had to use the room after getting off the road from a 10 hr dr. Ended up booking another room somewhere else checked out within 2hrs of being there. Asked for a refund for the last two days booked and the hotel told us to go back to Expedia. Called Expedia, they were no help as well. Claimed they couldn’t get hold of the hotel. Expedia needed a so called approval, never got a refund. DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT BOOK this hotel! Unless you like living in filth. No resolution of getting your money back.

The hotel stay was overall mediocre. The staff was definitely the highlight of the experience — everyone was attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. However, the property itself could use some improvements, especially the bathroom, which is in need of renovation and updating. The room was okay for a short stay, but the condition of the facilities did not fully match expectations. With some upgrades, this hotel could provide a much better guest experience.
