"Our room was not cleaned the 2nd day we were there, so we ran short on towels and toilet paper. The toilet in one room was running constantly and we requested maintenance and that was not done. The shower overflowed as well in the same bathroom (room 107). Vent in 2nd bathroom did not work as well. Breakfast had a lot of variety, but the hot food was lukewarm at best. Typically we have no issues in residence inns and stay in the 2 bedroom suites often, but this time around was just not good."

"Wingate in Jackson, TN is in a convenient location and is a new building but shares the building with Hawthorne Extended Stay( also by Wyndam). The grounds could be kept nicer, especially their dog walk area which had bags and waste container but long weeds. Once in the hotel, the rooms and bathrooms were great with comfortable beds and bedding plus alot of fluffy, white towels. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, but there is a coffee maker. The breakfast buffet was very good with an attentive staff member. Would recommend this basic hotel for an overnight, cost effective stay."

"My only complaint is that the room we stayed was not completely finished. This hotel was just built, and opened at the end of last year. However, there were unfinished construction items in our room. The bathroom had no vanity mirror or light"

"The rooms are not clean. We made a reservation for a non smoking room. Every door down the hallway had no smoking signs but we clearly smelled smoke down the entire hallway. We found a flea in one bed along with dirt. Another bed had sheets and a mattress topper that had been soiled by bodily fluids. The tub was also dirty.We went to the host and asked for a clean room. He went to check out our room and downplayed all of the things we pointed out that needed cleaning. He then offers to show us another room. This room turned out to nearly be a repeat of whag we found in the previous room. One of the beds even had dead skin all over the sheets. We then just requested a refund. He didn't argue much about it. And he said he would issue a refund. He stated how they have great rates compared to other hotels in the area. He then says we have to contact Expedia for a refund. I requested a receipt and he gave me a paper that I later learned was not an actual receipt for my refund. It was something the host came up with just to pretend to fix the situation. I worked with Expedia and was unable to get my money back. This was a horrible experience and I definitely do not recommend this hotel if cleanliness is important to you."
