We stayed in a Presidential Cottage at the Villa Garden, the room was large and comfortable with a good size bathroom. I’d have preferred the layout to have the bed in the darker end of the room and the sofas by the windows, but other than that it was great. The on-site food options are not so great: we had good meals in the restaurant in the Garden Villa but were disappointed limited lunch options: only one restaurant with last orders at 2, then the rather poor Cafe Diego as the only option for a late lunch/afternoon snack.

Great property. We stayed at the Garden Villa side which was really nice. Visited the resort side and it was also very nice. Resort side has a great yakiniku restaurant. Villa side has an amazing buffet. Pool was great. Villa side was quieter and fewer kids. Staff was very very friendly at both locations. Area is quiet and safe, right on the ocean. Great restaurants in the area from grilled shrimp and ice cream to traditional Japanese food.

This is a good self contained resort which is family friendly…you must reserve a shuttle if you have no car because it is a 30-40 minute drive The only thing that we did not like is that there is no place to go for a drink or cocktail between 4pm and 6pm … so we had to walk to a nearby place

It has a wonderful location, stunning views, and beautiful grounds. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also one of the best with the most food variety I've ever had. The only things I did not like were the beds and pillows. Much too hard. In fact, the pillow felt like a bag of flower or something similar.

Language Barrier
It is difficult to communicate with the hotel staff. We don't know Japanese and speak English. We have to use much efforts to make reservation of the restaurant and book the local tours.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Quiet and comfortable environment. We are very impressed by one of their English speaking staff. She’s very conscientious, enthusiastic, patient, responsible, kind and helpful. It meant a lot to our stay.

Was hoping there was beach access directly from the hotel however it was not possible and needed to drive about five minutes away to access the beach. Other than that the hotel service was very good and would recommend to return to the hotel for another stay.

Smart hotel near Ishigaki
The final stop on our tour of Japan we wanted luxury and the hotel delivered. Staff were very friendly and eager to help, and the hotel has good facilities, and even includes a convenience store for cheap snacks, though food in the bar was good and reasonably priced if you wanted a quick bite. They seemed to have evening performances on of different music which seemed a nice touch, and you can have a drink looking out to see at Iriomote as the sun sets. Room was very big and comfortable, great shower and enormous beds. We tried two of the restaurants which were both good, and the bar food one lunch time. Also had excellent massage in the spa. There is a regular airport shuttle that does stop at a hotel in the centre of town, so I think you could use this into town to save 1000yen taxi. Downsides, some people may find the pool a bit small, and there isn't really a beach which would have been lovely. Not all staff spoke english, but this was never a problem, was always a staff member who did nearby (and it's probably because the hotel has such a high class feel that was the only reason this surprised me).

Semi-resort hotel in Ishigaki
Spent 3 nights and had a good time seeing the sights of Ishigaki. Hotel is clean and staff are attentive.

My first Ishigaki tour
Thanks to well trained staffs, my first Ishigaki tour was quite satisfactorily one. However, like ANA hotels nearby, this hotels also accept excursion group everyday, restaurant (Japanese) is fully occupied for those group hence we are obliged to use other facilities inside/outside hotels. Because of the above situation, even though hotel facilities are not so bad, we will not choose this hotel next time and seek for more cozy facilities.

Good value and very helpful staff
Pleasant large hotel with very accomodating staff. Good buffet breakfast although restaurants are quite expensive. Indoor pool and Japanese public baths were a bonus. A bit remote from main town (taxi 1000 yen) but they had a roughly hourly regular free transfer bus to ferry port and airport. Recommend renting a car as the beach is not the best for swimming and the roads are not busy. Internet was not always reliable.

This hotel is very good in all ways except one. Too far from town. Taxi required to get to the ferry for trips and to get to restaurants. The room is exceptionally large and the room has the largest and best bathroom we have ever seen in a hotel and we have been in some good ones all over the world. The BBQ Ishikaki beef is superb!!

部屋は広く1週間滞在しても問題ないです。大浴場も大変使い勝手が良く、毎日利用させていただきました。また、スタッフも感じが良く、ウエルカムドリンクやアイスクリームなど良かったです。ただ、市街地から2〜3キロ離れているため、車がないと観光するにも不便です。

お部屋も広く子どもたちも楽しそうでした。 大浴場があったのがうれしかったです。休憩所のアイスもありがたかったです。岩盤浴は、バスタオルをまいて、バスタオルを敷いて利用するみたいでしたが、部屋のバスタオル持参で手持ちにバスタオルが1枚しかなかったので、岩盤浴の利用しづらかったです。 朝ご飯も、たくさん種類があって、子供の好きそうなものもたくさんあったのでよかったです 周辺に飲食店やコンビニがないのが若干不便ですが、楽しく過ごさせていただきました。

３月に5名でロフト付きの部屋に泊まりました。 今まで泊まったホテルの中で1番良かったです。誕生日のお祝いでこんな素敵なホテルに泊まり祖母がとても喜び感動していて、とてもいい思い出になりました！今度は、何泊かしたいです。 お風呂も最高、岩盤浴もあり、サウナもあり。子供が楽しめる卓球。そして、素敵な施設の作り。素敵なスタッフさん。 部屋からは海が見えバルコニーがあり、ひろびろでした。 チェックアウト後のお風呂の利用も、フロント方が快く案内してくださり、タオル不足なのにタオルも貸してくださり、石垣の気持ち良い風を感じるいいたびになりました！
