I had a one day stay for self-care and thought this location would be good since it’s a new facility. However, the room had a really harsh smell that never left. I ended up opening the windows to get some air. Although they give you a kitchen area there are no plates, pots, utensils. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Also, the walls are very thin, so you literally can hear people walking in the hallway and walking in the rooms above you which ultimately disturbed your sleep. When it was time to check out, no one was at the front desk and it wasn’t until I was leaving the door that leads you outside that I saw a kiosk and the gentleman that was virtually there said that he could check me out. Unfortunately I do not think I will be going back.

Avoid WoodSpring Suites Columbia–Irmo at all costs. I booked an accessible room three weeks in advance through Expedia, choosing the “pay at property” option they offered. After a brutal 9-hour drive from West Palm Beach, I arrived exhausted, only to be told—without warning—that my reservation was cancelled. The excuse? “We don’t accept payment at the hotel.” Completely absurd, since that option was clearly given during booking. Then, to make things worse, the clerk claimed the motel was fully booked and refused to help at all. So apparently: they cancel confirmed reservations, blame their own payment option, and magically have no rooms left. My wife and I were left stranded as it got dark. Calling Expedia was useless—30 minutes wasted with a rep who did nothing. We had no choice but to find another motel at nearly double the price, just to survive the night. The real insult? When I called Expedia again, a manager told me that same motel claimed my room was still available and they were “waiting for us.” That’s either incompetence or outright dishonesty—either way, unacceptable. Yes, the charge was eventually cancelled, but I was stuck paying much more elsewhere, and no compensation ever came. This was a complete failure on both sides. Zero accountability, zero professionalism. If you want peace of mind when traveling, stay far away from this place

there’s no staff from9pm-9am checked into hotel the gave me a double bed smoking room big no no clerk got mad then gave me a double bed non smoking when i was supposed to have a king suite then room had no towels or pillows on bed running up and down the halls at night groups hanging out in the parking lots at night now 3days later i still haven’t got my deposit back and can’t get anyone one the phone I WONT GO BACK

Rooms are kinda expensive for having NOTHING in them, no coffee pot, rack to hold luggage, blow dryer, hand towels and you have to pay extra for wifi! Right after we checked in and got to room we were getting situated and the door opens up with woman from cleaning staff, no knocks, to drop off pillow cases that we didn’t need. The beds were so uncomfortable and having to turn over often and bed squeaks when u move. Walls are so thin that you can hear everything from neighbors to hallway and the walking around in the room above. Was told at check in there was a $10 fee for our dog, a senior, and was charged $59.20 for her and called and woman said “sorry, non refundable. Have a good day” and hung up. So $148 for room and $60 for dog?? Then this morning as we are eating our breakfast from McDs we hear screaming in room next door and she’s yelling to stop! We called 911 and police show up and arrested two of the three people in the room. And the hallways and elevator smell like pot, skunk. Needless to say we will never be back and stay wasn’t even worth half of what we paid.

Intended for long term stays, not overnight. Had to check in through a video kiosk even though there was someone at the desk - and it took a LONG time. It took four tries to get through the entrance fast enough before it locked again. Amenities were on mini bottle of shampoo - that was it. Bed was made badly, with blanket and top sheet so askew that they had one corner on the floor. Wi-fi secure codes didn’t work, and unsecured was slow. Clean, decent sized - but I won’t stay again.

Check in was horrible as there was no live person. You had to use a kiosk. We got our room and when we entered, it had not been cleaned. There were no sheets on the bed and trash on the floor. Horrible. Do not recommend.

Reminds you of Extended Stay motel. Very noisy. Staff were nice at checkin! No staff late, no ice machine. Won’t make that mistake again.

Everything was great except somebody has charged me $91.56 on my Visa when I paid for the room in full on a Mastercard. The hotel says they didn’t charge me and Expedia says they didn’t charge me. Somebody needs to figure it out and refund my money. The charge is no longer pending, it has been completed, and the funds have been removed from my account. Totally unacceptable on both ends.
