In our experience they are there to be shown and not to act. Nevertheless if you come during carnival this would be a prime spot."

"The Landlord lady, (Ireny) was very friendly, with always the greatest humor. Extra accomodating she goes the extra mile to help you have a great stay in every aspects! (She Even went out with you to show me some places, explore my gym options, set up my telephone line, where to go for currency exchange etc). Very chatty (but only in portuguese, so great for those who want to practice), but also very respectful of privacy. Amenities are very basic, but rooms and bathroom are clean, breakfast...

"Trying to get there was a nightmare, I came late to the airport and paid $500 to a tax driver to take us there. We went there via Ferry, got there around 11:30, the driver left us there and we were calling on the phone and no one answered, we knocked at the door for 20 minutes and nobody responded, we ringed the bell and nothing. I was so mad because it was raining and nobody showed up to open the door. We had to pay another 500 to go back t o Salvador and got there around 5:30 am. Place looks...

"We did not have a good experience at this guesthouse. We had to wait an hour outside for a staff person to show up. You could smell mold in the room that started to make us sick. The room could have used a better cleaning. We asked a few times for more toilet paper and never got any. The television did not work due faulty wiring. We left the guesthouse before our reservation ended because of the mold. It's unfortunate because the guesthouse is centrally located and we were able to walk to many...

"The rooms and towels are not clean, use your own. The area of the hotel, especially the street, is very very dangerous and should be avoided. We were attacked. The shower knob charges electricity and there was no hot water in the room we were checked in."
