When we arrived at the Ten Hostel there was a note on the door saying we had to check in at the port, which is a 15 minute walk away. We were not informed this upon arrival and were very turned off that check in was not at the property

Het inchecken is op een heel andere locatie maar ging verder prima. Het hostal is van een goedkopere soort dus dan kun je niet heel veel verwachten maar was prima voor de prijs/ kwaliteit

The check in is not in the property - walk of 15 minutes with luggages is not the best.

Terrible experience
A nightmare. An indescribable smell of mold and humidity, an insane environment. The only window overlooks a tunnel inside the small condominium from which little light comes and just as much smell.
We call the receptionist of the hotel where we checked in and she rudely tells us that she has no other rooms available and she hangs up. We call back a second time very annoyed and faced with her non-cooperative attitude we insist on saying that that room is unthinkable and we want another solution but she closes by saying that there are no other accommodations (she doesn't speak half a word of Italian, only very fast Spanish or English).
At that point we hasten to book the room for the night in another structure otherwise we risked being left without accommodation and once settled, we call the structure again to ask for a refund.
Very arrogant and annoyed she tells us that the refund can't be done that she has to wait for Monday for the manager to return and trying to recover the embarrassing situation she invents that she wanted to offer us another room but we didn't give him the time (I specify that we made 2 phone calls before deciding to move us to another hotel, if he really wanted to give us another room he would have said so.)
We personally went to the hotel desk to speak with her and instead of clarifying and apologizing she treated us badly saying that she doesn't pay her for this, that the hotel is not hers and she refused to talk to us and left she went to the bar.
