The food is the highlight of the visit. The buffé is excellent, lots of fresh vegetables, sallads, nice meat etc. Especially all oriental food is very good. You certainly do not starve. The atmosphere is nice. The activities are very nice. Especially the stretching, yoga etc were very good. There is a nice mix of volleyball, dart etc. The animation team is very nice, my kids loved the staff working there and felt very safe with them. Cleaning of the place, including the rooms could be better. Toilets around the compound rarely had toilet paper etc. Staff is very helpful with anything you need, so that part of the service is very nice. The beach is sandy, nice and shallow - so easy to bring children.

Do NOT ever book this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything was a disaster. We paid €1008 for one week in half-board, and since we missed dinner on the first night, the hotel offered us a “late dinner”, an absolute catastrophe and a disgrace to the hospitality industry. We were served two slices of bread, a bit of cheese, and two apples. A total shame for a so-called 5-star hotel. To make things worse, we weren’t even given our wristbands upon arrival, which led to confusion later when we were accused of using “all-inclusive” services we never had access to. The manager even claimed I had taken advantage of the all-inclusive offer while I was literally in Cairo at that time, clearly an attempt to scam me. The atmosphere in this hotel is toxic and dishonest. Their only goal seems to be tricking tourists. You can’t stay five minutes at the pool or the beach without being constantly harassed by people trying to sell you quad rides, diving sessions, spa treatments, and more. If guests want an activity, they’ll go to reception, no need for this endless harassment. And the final insult: we were charged €12 per pool card that the housekeeper herself removed from our room while we were away. We only stayed two nights in this dreadful place instead of 7, but that was more than enough. A complete disgrace to the ACCOR group. Don’t make the same mistake we did, this hotel doesn’t deserve its 5 stars. Shameful!

My recent stay at the Mövenpick Waterpark Resort & Spa Soma Bay was a huge disappointment and a complete waste of money. I was drawn in by the hotel's reputation, but the reality is that the entire experience is undermined by poor management and incredibly bad customer service ' The bad experience continued with the food. For a 5-star hotel, the quality and variety were shocking and repetitive, often tasting poor. When we tried to reserve a table at one of the dinner restaurants, they were always fully booked, making the all-inclusive promise feel misleading'The worst part of our stay was the dreadful customer service. Staff members, particularly at the reception, were unhelpful and seemed completely disinterested in resolving guest issues. The management was nowhere to be found, and when complaints were made, they were dismissed without a real solution. It’s clear that management is not interested in addressing the very real problems at this resort. For anyone considering a stay here, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. The high price tag is not justified by the quality of the service, the food, or the dated facilities. Save your money and your peace of mind—you will be disappointed.

A nice 3 star property

The hotel location is very good, the beach is nice and well kept the main building is nice, all in all needs a refurbishment in the rooms which are very old, the bed is super uncomfortable. The bar provides good drink, great coffe as well. The main restaurant food presentation is excellent however the quality is not as good as it looks. They mix the soft drinks with water in the machines and tastes horrible, also the coffee maschine gives undrinkable coffee. It’s almost always the same Arabian food ormassieve Arabian influence……. It could be much better….

I stayed here for many nights, the descriptions states it has few restaurants. But doesn't state you'll need to reserve 4 restaurants atleast 24-48hrs before.You cannot eat there without booking. There is only 1 main restaurant that has it's operating time. Breaky 7-10am, lunch 1-3pm dinner 7-9.30. There are not any snack places to eat if you have young children and want something for the them to have away from the designated times. Which is a downside to this resort as kids get hungry and need snacks throughout the day or your timings are just different. Ice cream is served daily 3-4pm only. Which is another downside for a 5star hotel. The are costs are extortionate for spa, and gym if you like to use it. You'll have haggle the prices not ideal for the guest. The hotel cleaning is utterly poorly. Our cleaner called Ahmed never changed our bedding, never refilled soaps or change towels. I used to tell him daily but he always ignored me. The reception didn't take the complaint on board either. Then resort itself is beautiful but doesn't hold 5star treatment. Ive been to better resorts and worth the money we pay. This resort is expensive but low standards. The location is futhur out. excursions prices will always be higher with additional costs. Its 45 mins away from airport. 20 mins away from Senzo mall and 1 hr away from Old dowtown hurghada. I've attached photos of the worn out bedding that they still use. Safety issue lifeguards are limited at pools and beachs.

Es war unsere erste Reise überhaupt in dieses Land und wir haben es sehr genossen. Natürlich muss man einiges beachten und auch lernen aber überwiegend war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Die Anlage ist schon etwas gebraucht aber das Personal macht alles möglich was in ihrer Macht steht um diese Defizite auszugleichen. Wir hatten all inclusive gebucht und da ist auch wirklich so viel dabei das man gut zunimmt allerdings gibt es in ihrer Ausschreibung einen Fehler: es steht das man einmalig eines der Spezialrestaurant buchen kann was aber nicht so ist. Zum Glück hat der Kellner uns sofort darauf hingewiesen was in dem Moment dann ärgerlich war, doch wir dann einfach wieder losgegangen sind um in großen Restaurant zu essen ohne zusätzliche Kosten. Alles im allen war es ein schöner Aufenthalt und wir würden es bei einer erneuten Reise wieder buchen.

Otelin konumu Hurgadaya çok uzak. Alternatif ulaşım sorun. Çalışanlar hep güler yüzlü, çalışkan ve sizi evinizde hissettiriyor. Otel biraz eski. Belli ki bakıma ihtiyacı var. Odada bazı aksamlarda sorun var ama büyütülecek kadar değil. Yemekler ve hizmet bir harika. Dalış kulübü ise verdiği sözleri tutmadı. Eğer program yapacaksanız mutlaka yazılı olarak talep edin. Genel olarak iyi bir otel. çalışanlara müteşekkirim.

Suosittelen lapsiperheille.

Oli kyllä jokaisen 5 tähden arvoinen. Lapset huomioidaan täydellisesti. Siivoojat ovat kuin paras ystäväsi. Ainut mikä voi toisille merkitä niin ihan naapurissa ei ole kauppoja, mutta onneksi hotellista löytyi kaikki tarpeellinen. Apteekki, market, vaatteet, kosmetiikka, automaatti, lelut ja sielläkin kaikki oli todella ihania. Ei liiallista perään huutamista.

Zimmern und Hotel sehr sauber . Service sind nett allerdings bietet das Hotel nur selfservice an da die all in haben denken sie sich das reicht Getränke kriegt man im Plastik Becher selber andere Sachen an der Bar auch nur aus einer großen Flasche in ein Plastik Becher . Aqua Park hat komische Zeit der Transfer dahin hat gar nicht geklappt sind gelaufen . Essen war nicht gut haben Bauchschmerzen bekommen passiert mir das erste mal in Ägypten à la carte Restaurant war allerdings viel besser frische Cocktails gab es nicht zu wenig mit Arbeiter für so ne große Anlage die liegen sind natürlich bisschen runter gekommen Meer sehr schön soma Bay ist das auch nicht das liegt in safgha leider ist da nichts zum einkaufen da im Hotel gab es ein paar Shops wo man für ein Triko 25 wollte und in der Stadt 10 kostet . Spa war sehr schön . Das Hotel liegt 45 min von Hurghada entfernt also lohnt sich nicht mal aus dem Hotel raus . Im Aqua Park hat einer mein Sohn rutschen lassen er kann noch nicht gut schwimmen und die rutschen kommen ins tiefe Becken rein und ich hab dann nur gesehen wie mein Sohn Wasser trinkt und versucht zu schwimmen und der Bademeister hat einfach zu geschaut bin natürlich rein und hab den kleinen raus geholt und bin natürlich ausgerastet das der einfach zu geschaut hat . Die Animation bietet jeden Abend Club besuche an zusammen und auch Babysitter falls man Kinder dabei hat .

Flott anlegg, flotte ansatte, men totalt kun ok

Personalet var alle svært så imøtekommende og høflige. Rommene fremstod rene og pene, men når en såg i hjørnene så var det oppsamlet støv. Og var uheldig å mistet mobilen mellom madrassene, det var en ubehagelig opplevelse. Mye støv og diverse der. Vask av klær var eksemplarisk, ser bedre ut nå enn som nye. Buffeen hadde alt og litt til, mye søtsaker. Kunne vert mer påpasselig med at folk spritet hendene. Mange som nevler med alle håndtak, kaffetappe etc. Den italienske retauranten hadde en flott meny. Hummer, grillet abbor etc var alt svært godt. 3 dager var nok for oss da basseng ikkje er den store interessa for noen av oss. men for den solglade uten spesielt behov for aktivisering passer dette nok helt supert.

Movenpick Resort Soma Bay

Our room was cleaned on the daily basis and very comfortable. As we had a video conference to join during our stay and the WiFi signal was not so strong in our room, we requested for a solution from the front desk and they provided with a router in our room that we used until the end of our stay. The WiFi signal is very good at the beach and almost everywhere on the resort premises. No comment on food. So in general, we enjoyed our 10 days stay and we hope to be back in the summer if possible.

Super duper hotel med okay dykkecenter

Det er et rigtig velholdt hotel og det er et super flinkt personale der er på stedet. Jeg kan varmt anbefale hotellet. Men desværre er der også et lille minus. De har et fint dykkecenter på stedet men måden man skal komme ud til dykkestederne er dårlige. Dykkecentret har en båd liggende ved bådebroen men for at komme med i båden skal du hoppe ca 1,5 m ned og når du kommer tilbage efter 2 dejlige dyk skal du så igen kravle op på broen. Der er ingen stige eller andre hjælpemidler. Så for folk med dårlige knæ mv er det næsten umulig at tage med. Dette er lidt sørgelig da stedet ellers er godt

Service was excellent at reception and in the restaurant. Didn't like the sales people who seemed to all pounce on us within 30 minutes of arriving at the pool on our first day.
